COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

Had a qucik shot of the single player and it seemed decent, but online it feels really laggy im jerking all over the place its hard to aim! hope it gets sorted soon

This happened to me when installing on another comp, when I got to the part where you enter the cd key, steam said it was already activated and that all I needed to do was play from the library.

Which I proceeded to do but it started to download (8gig) from steam. Long story short, I quit the download process, kept steam opened and started the installer from the disk again and it did so.

Hopefully yours will do the same.

i get a steam servers are busy error when it tries to install and then tried to download again.. WTF:(:(

I would like to join in the Steam bashing.

I went to a shop and bought a proper, actual retail copy of this game. I got home, installed it and went to play.

'The steam servers are too busy to handle your request. Please try again later'.

I'm sorry? I want to play a SINGLE PLAYER game which I have bought PHYSICAL MEDIA for and... I cant?

What?

same here aswell

welp. the server browser is ****ed for me.. it takes 5 minutes to load 2 of the 7000+ servers, when i press join it attempts to connect for a further 10 minutes. by the time i get into a server the map changes. and when the map is loaded it's laggy as hell and i can't hit no-one. not a good beta so far people.

I'm installing the game now, but it seems like I need to download 8GB, why will it not install from a DVD? I did run Setup etc and was following instructions.

Using Steam launch options to install retail games from disc

1. Log in to Steam and click on Library.
2. Right-click on the game, select Delete local content, and confirm.
3. Insert the first disc into your computer.
4. Close Steam (Steam > Exit).
5. Press Windows Key + R to open Run
6. In the Run window type:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -install E:

Replace E: with the CD/DVD drive you are installing from if is not correct.
Replace C:\Program Files\Steam if your Steam installation is not in the default location.
7. Press OK. Steam will launch and ask you to sign in if you do not have your password saved. Your installation should continue from the disc.

can't see any servers now. Refreshing does nothing, server list is just empty. Bah, and i had a night in alone and was looking forward to playing it. Done some sp and it's so so but not what i wanted the game for at all.

I've never bought a cod game and played the sp untill I was bored of the MP. Hoping Black Ops can do the same for me.
