Codemasters F1 2010 Time Trials X360 & PS3

absolutely hate  that it doesnt keep recorded the sector times so you can see where you are falling short (they just flash onscreen)

only been able to do 36.075 for the first sector so far it is evil...hard corner then next 2 corners you have to chuck the car about fast - you misss the slither of a corridor where u are safe and fast and bam spin out....

been unable to keep the car on the track...you dont want to know how many restarts :( (well did a slow 1.40...so have at least completed a time)

I did give ps3 controller a try and sweet mother thats worse! and i couldnt see sensitivty options for them either lol

I don't know if this helps but here's how I do it...

Turn One I hit 200 mph and lift slightly, then brake and shift to 4th, keep the line, throttle out and shift up to 5th gear hit that next left hander in 5th, then the next in 4th, then keep the car in 4th gear throughout the next few corners until going up the hill when you hit 5th, 6th and 7th before the next right hander...

Sorry not exactly sure of the numbers for each turn yet.

Hope that helps .....

1. 1.38.797 :D :D :D
2. PS3
3. Ferrari
4. noob wireless wheel, auto gears, ABS, TC, lines on

just ***** glad to get under 1.40 i suspect im adjusting speed to the colour of the lines too much.

I use auto gears though, dont have pedals - guess i could use r1 and L1 on the wheel for gears. But then i would be looking at the dash too much for my speed...if i glance away from the track even for a millisecond BAM ive spun off/

This wheel is too flaky and light but god knows how folk on pad/controller are managing it with the analogue stick!! I have enough trouble keeping the car in a straight line..

Im not managing which is why ive ordered a Logitech Driving Force GT, i chuffing hate racing with the analogue stick, far prefer the D-Pad. I feel like with the analogue stick im just going from lock to lock with no middle ground for easy corners, so i have to keep compensating and its slowing me down...

Wheel should be here tomorrow though! :D

Will get an update for the times for the weekend guys.

Shattered at nights when I get home at the moment. Playing when tired isnt a good thing for TT's.

I know you don't accept PC but thought I would post my time :)

1. 1.29.987
2. PC
3. Mclaren
4. G25 wheel, manual gears, all assists off.

I think there is easily another 200-300 tenths off that due to me going wide on that long left hander.

First effort, no setup work, just straight to track.

1. 1.30.453
2. PS3
3. Ferrari
4. Dualshock 3, manual gears, TC and ABS on

I'll have a go with my Driving force GT with no aids a little later on.

Getting 1.30 for me required finding the right set up on the net, looking around other peoples times who posted their set up. Was amazed how much I pulled away from my ghost car on the last straight.

Need to get corner 11 and 15 down, watching videos show I was taking it a bit too wide.

5. Setup was using the one to extreme right hand side, with engine power to full and wing negative to the front.
Does the really work? For me..

1: Go to engineer set up, select one on the furthest right, make sure it is actually selected (enter twice).
2: Go to manual car set up, change any value, save.
3: Go back to engineer, it's now back on the middle settings.

Has it really gone back to the middle setting or has it saved the further right + car mods.
Stopped playing then knowing all my settings were potentially not the ones I asked for so, got boring fast.

what the **** :/

first go?

Took me about 2 hours to get a 1.31 in a mclaren with my G27 yet you beat it comfortably first time with a freaking pad.

I'm switching cars is all that tells me, there must be some ferrari bias going on.

If im honest, it's probably completely down to TC and ABS, i was pretty much flooring it out of every corner, never needed to blend the throttle in the esses, just straight on it.

I hope my sterring wheel time is faster, as i'm struggling with the analog stick, but will lose out on time without TC and ABS.

I'll try it with and without aids, hopefully the times won't be too different.

You are doing it correctly, it's a bit counter-intuative, but when you have a 'custom' setup, there is no 'custom' quick setup, so it defaults to the middle one..

As soon as I get some time, I want to have a good crack at this circuit, I've got so many time trials on the go (I seem to really enjoy them), I was waiting until later in the week when the real think is on..

Gave this a wee blast tonight but pretty good for my first session:

1. 1.30.593
2. PS3
3. Red Bull
4. Turbo S wheel, manual gears, all assists off but line.
