Codemasters F1 2010 Time Trials X360 & PS3

turns 3,4,5,6,7 do it for me...

can't seem to decide on what gear to be on, unless it's flicking between 3 and 4 really quickly loads cos it seems that one turn is #3, then #4 then #3 etc.

Rest of the track I think I have nailed, even the 130R I reckon I could do flat though I lift for 2 tenths, I find 15,16 etc. quite easily, when you're in 7th gear just shift down 5 times to get into 2nd is one way I think of when doing it... if that helps.

I find it best to stay in 4th round that section of track. My real struggle on Suzuka is the last chicane, I can't quite seem to master the braking zone. Lap after lap I end up locking up and zipping across the grass :D Managed to set a low 1.33 in a McLaren (all assists off) but I think that was more luck, more oddly on the leader board it shows my fastest lap as a 1.44 in a Lotus? Will have a proper blast later and to set a time.

Yeah he is right stay in 4th gear whilst feathering the throttle is easily the quickest way around the cicruit, the only downside to this method is that if you get it wrong you can loose a bucket load of time!

Do you manage to get through turns 3,4,5 and 6 without touching the brakes? I find if i dont brake for one corner my exit speed is too fast and the engine braking alone wont keep me on the track for the next.

Not sure how it is for TT, but online you can see how the performance of the cars are stacked by going to circuit info.

It will say "car performance: equal", for example.

Yup, slight lift if needed. Technique I mastered on Forza, get it right and it feels superb.

1. 1.32.500
2. Xbox 360
3. Mclaren
4. MS 360 Wheel, manual gears, all assists off .

Nailed the casio triangle but still untidy on the hairpin, starting to get used to the wheel though..

Ive barely played the game apart from the first TT.
Been busy, in working late again tonight but look forward to getting my teeth into this track.

How you guys liking Suzuka and how does it compare to other games with Suzuka?

Yes, I go through all of these corners without touching the brakes. I am going through all of these corners in 4th gear and do a quick up shift before going on to the straight. I do this because it seems to settle the car a lot better than just going round the corner in 4th gear.

It's many hours of practice that has made me get this technique sorted perfectly but as has been said before, when you get all of these corners right the speed and control that you can achieve is brilliant.

For all of those interested, I still think that a one lap banzai is not the best gauge as to who is quickest. It's all about consistency over a set period of laps rather than going quickly one lap and binning it the next...

1. 1.33.095
2. PS3
3. Ferrari
4. G27 wheel, manual gears, all assists off but TCS on .

I can certainly improve specially first sector , but just had 20 mins to try the circuit.

can someone tell me why isn't my time on the Global leaders board? I should be around #115 .

definately, plus a good 'out' lap sets you up for a faster run down the straight than the automated rolling start.

Totally agree with you mate, I ran a few laps in the Merc and that was a hard car to drive quickly. It might be stable, but it is ridden with understeer whereas I jumped in the Ferrari and was able to take 4,5,6 in 4th gear no problem. This was a task in the Mercedes in itself.

#140ish more like ;p as I'm #120ish with a 1.32.523 ;)

Improvement:

1. 1.32.055
2. PS3
3. Mclaren
4. G27 wheel, manual gears, all assists off but, ABS, TC and Corner Line on.

Tinkered a bit with the car settings but not much, I don't really know what I'm doing yet so hopefully can improve but with the setup at the moment it's an absolute nightmare trying to break into the 1.31's

absolutely hate  that it doesnt keep recorded the sector times so you can see where you are falling short (they just flash onscreen)

only been able to do 36.075 for the first sector so far it is evil...hard corner then next 2 corners you have to chuck the car about fast - you misss the slither of a corridor where u are safe and fast and bam spin out....

been unable to keep the car on the track...you dont want to know how many restarts :( (well did a slow 1.40...so have at least completed a time)

I did give ps3 controller a try and sweet mother thats worse! and i couldnt see sensitivty options for them either lol
