Codemasters F1 2010 Time Trials X360 & PS3

First lap:
1. 01:33:462
2. Xbox 360
3. McLaren
4. Wheel / Auto, ABS, TC, Racing line

Not bad I guess since I was taking it easy with a highish downforce setup!

for the people that asked earlier, for Singapore I was using the 2nd default from the right (Dry setup, but not the extreme dry one) with engine set to fast.

New time for me, managed to whack a fair chunk off the old one and looking a bit more competitive for this TT anyway. I can go faster through most of the track but the two tight corners at the end get me :( Still 2 weeks to improve!

1. 1.33.226
2. PS3
3. Red Bull
4. Pad, Auto Gears, No Assists, racing line on.

@Dan7 it would be interesting to see how you do with the assists off, those are some impressive times!

Im loving Turn 1 and Turn 14...

Currently getting away with the lightest of lifts thru 14 and im quite sure if i get the line just right i should be able to stay flat. :)

Its corners 11, 15 and 16 that i suck at, too scared to give it the beans incase i oversteer wildly...

Agree that 14 is an awesome corner, can take it with the slightest of lifts but havent managed it flat as of yet, always creep over the kerb on exit and get an invalid lap :(

Turn 14 is the infamous 130R, you can take it flat no problem but you need to turn in earlier.

Alan McNish crashes at the 130R

I can never seem to get the turn 11 hairpin right, so many times I've changed down too many gears and ended up in neutral :o and don't get me started on the Casio chicane after the 130R...

I just had a quickie before work, using the setup from the link in the main thread... managed to be 0.6s quicker out of sector 2, flat thru turn 14 but then overcooked turn 16 and spun, sick as a parrot.

Haha Absolutely, took me a good few weeks to get the whole final sector right in forza, should be a whole new learning curve for F1 now but I'm looking forward to 130R at full chat

Gave this around half an hour. Was using Mercedes GP to start with then went on to Ferrari, seems as though there is a big difference in grip levels between all cars even in a time trial format (normally all cars are set to the fastest regardless of which team you pick.)

1. 1.29.306
2. 360
3. Ferrari
4. Wheel (Official MS) No Assists
5. Setup was using the one to extreme right hand side, with engine power to full and wing negative to the front.

Can't upload the time at the minute on the 360 due to ISP problems but can show photo proof.

Compare this time to Mercedes GP:

1. 1.29.738
2. 360
3. Mercedes GP
4. Wheel (Official MS) No assists
5. Setup was using the one to extreme right hand side, with engine power to full and wing negative to the front.

Nice times!

I've been told that the cars are split into 4 categories, MacLaren/Redbull/Ferrari then Mercedes/Renault/whoever etc, the cars in each 'class' are supposed to perform identically, but each class gets less grip/slower etc..

Not sure if that's completely true, but it sounds plausible!

turns 3,4,5,6,7 do it for me...

can't seem to decide on what gear to be on, unless it's flicking between 3 and 4 really quickly loads cos it seems that one turn is #3, then #4 then #3 etc.

Rest of the track I think I have nailed, even the 130R I reckon I could do flat though I lift for 2 tenths, I find 15,16 etc. quite easily, when you're in 7th gear just shift down 5 times to get into 2nd is one way I think of when doing it... if that helps.

Hey guys,

Had a quick email from Mr Latte saying he thought this might be an OK idea so I've put together a quick website to list all the results and dates for the time trials.

http://sites.whitesummitmedia.com/f12010/

Hoping to make extend this to include setting up dates for races etc.

At the moment keep posting your times etc in this thread for Mr Latte and myself to aggregate and we'll post them up.

Let me know what you think and whether you think it's worthwhile.

Roy
