I've been .5 up on that, but as I'm sure everyone is aware, it's a bit of mare to keep it certified..

There is something good about stringing a good lap together!! but on that circuit, after about 20 laps, my head just explodes!!!

Not bad time considering on the console

thought i would give it a try since OP allowed pc's to give it a shot.

1. 01:39.3
2. PC
3. Mclaren / Driver
4. G25, no assists used

Did it that with in 6 laps on default set.

Nice time! I've no idea if the console game is comparable, I am sure I could stretch to a 1:38, but it will take more then 6 laps for me!
 
Is there a way to save replays? I'd be able to upload my laps if I could transfer the replays to my other 360 which is hooked up to a capture card

[edit : Urgh, I'd recommend taking photo proof - the leaderboards aren't showing my latest lap...unless they're slow to update?! My ghost car menu shows it as my PB though, strange...]

Think i need to try tuning the setup, currently just using the Engineers Quick setups.

Currently 60th on XBL.

Just nailed Singapore with a pretty decent-ish time.

1. 01.44.235
2. Xbox360
3. McLaren again
4. M$ wheel...driving line on full, auto gears but no TCS or ABS

Quite chuffed with that as its taken me nearly all day to get to grip with the track...plsu im getting much much faster with the wheel.

I want to get a wheel and yours looks lovely, is it any good ?
Gonna have a pop at this now, i'll be using your ghost :)
 
The Fanatec wheel is brilliant, for me it replaces the G25 and Wireless that i used to have. The quality and feel are awesome, also amount of adjustment the wheel offers is what makes it great, being able to tweak FF, steering degrees, deadzone etc, all on the wheel itself.. So you can tune it to each game, storing several custom setups, even when there is no ingame tweaking.

Getting back to time trialing, thanks Agnes, ive just been racing your KL ghost. :)
 
Hi guys....

1.42.569 smurkej on global leaderboard pos 127 time of writing. Assists off except auto gears and corner lines. G27 wheel n pedals and that time took me about 30 attempts ... i have had cans of 1664 :D so tomorrow shud improve further. 1.39 is ridiculously fast. Oh my car setup was just quickset to dry with a lower downforce so i could be really fast, potentially.

Now my head hurts 40 laps of singapore and only a handful were valid laps so many lap invalidated then soon after next lap invalidated. Has anybody found if you go off sometimes on a timed lap it gives you both lap invalidated and next lap invalidated at the sametime?

From my understanding, if you go off in the last sector it invalidates the next lap (and current if it was until then valid). Rather than it being in any way random whether your next lap gets invalidated.
 
Wow so much for me thinking I was good at racing games... I have managed a grand total of 2 clean laps in about an hour and a half of trying :(

1. 1:47.307
2. Ps3
3. Renault
4. Pad, Auto, no assists, racing line on

There's seriously a hairs breadth between a perfect corner and utter failure.

Edit - PS3 number one time is 1min 30 something :/

I will only get a few hours today at this as have been busy with work/family related matters.

Need to really improve and learn the track.

There is an art to this racing game btw fellas :)

I'm sure you'll pick up on what the secret is soon enough, if not I'll let you stew on it for a while before letting you into the 1 minute 42s etc. :D

One tip though - the amount of times I restarted the run was unbelievable.

You don't have to go around the track once you have invalidated - just go on the menu and click restart... I must have done it about 30 times last night.
