CODWWII

well if cod do ww2 well then Dice would be pretty stupid to do it next.they lose each year to cod sales wise regardless of what they do.so doing ww2 just after cod would not be a great idea.

its crazy when you think about it that the most popular games we want often arent made or done right.

many have been after a ww2 game thats great for years.

makes me wonder what battlalion guys are thinking right now.

The problem is however that IF a WW2 game is already in the works for Dice they cant just change their plan on the back of COD announcing a WW2 game.

They've already probably done a years worth of work.

true.im not bothered who makes the ww2 we all want as long as its good and they listen to what we want to do and how to play without the stupid bs.

Not bought a COD for a few years as I didn't like the progressively futuristic way they were going, this one I might pick up sometime after launch when the price has dropped a bit.

I'm a total sucker for WW2 games so even though I've avoid COD like the plague for the last few years since WaW, there's a strong possibility of me getting pulled back in. Just hope its less John Woo and more Steven Spielberg....

If DICE don't do WW2 because of this I'm going to be gutted. BF1 is fine but WW2 has so much more iconic vehicles etc, having said that if they carry on down the auto ammo and health regen and heroes route (and the wierd vehicle spawning) I probably won't want to play it anyway

Ah, halcyon days.
I agree, those days are gone. Different market of kids these days.

Marketed squarely at kids so they can badger their parents into buying the latest ****** rehash, yet given an 18 certificate. I know age restrictions on games mean absolutely **** all, but you get my point.

I gave up on COD after MW2,And them NOT selling Modern Warfare remastered on its own was just pure greed.

But il definitely be buying this if its done right,Right as in...

  • Proper servers,Not any of this "hosts" crap that uses peoples connections to host the game.
  • No Day 1 DLC
  • Boots fully on the ground - Please no,Just no flying around on some secret nazi jet packs that you unlock at level 75 :D
  • Decently priced,Im talking in line with other newly released games..£35-39...not £45-50,Call of duty titles are still a ripoff on steam today imo.
I thought BF1 was going to be awesome,But it was (and still is) a major letdown for me,I hope CODWW2 will be great!

and if we could move away from this "everything must be semi automatic/fully automatic with a red dot regardless of any historical basis" would be nice.

although that's not gonna happen, i can forgive bf1 for cheating history because lets face it a bolt action and 100 rounds would get a bit samey after 10 minutes.
