JUST SO EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS, I DID NOT I REPEAT I DID NOT CREATE THAT THREAD REGARDING THE RAIN FOREST AND IT'S NEW DIGITAL DOWNLOAD SERVICE!!!!!!

YES BUT (())) IS NOW GOING A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD SERVICE - GAMES BUT WE CAN'T DISCUSS (())) BECAUSE THEY SELL HARDWARE. IT WAS THAT THREAD WHICH WAS REMOVED BECAUSE IT WAS CAUSING PEOPLE TO RUSH OVER AND BUY HARDWARE *YAWN*

I'm actually quite concerned about the abuse of access to non trust email addresses, as I buy all my company's hardware from OCUK. Granted it's from a non forum linked account, but I think the cause for concern is warranted.

Ultimately, any kind of deals thread will eventually die out as OcUKs game library increases and we'll be left with a smattering of indie/retro games.

I agree with the above,if forum members can get warnings etc for infractions against the rules of the forums,then shouldn,t the moderators be "not above the law" too?.
I certainly DO NOT want anyone to lose their livelyhood over want seems to be conceived as bad form on their part though,we all need to get by don't we.

Although Neil's ban was uncalled for, he should count himself lucky he wasn't locked in a room with FreeFaller and 5UB. I still get flashbacks!

I can't be bothered to read every post in all of the threads, I read a fair chunk and didn't see any trolling, just a mod abusing his powers, which is nothing new to him. I don't see why the rules needed changing at all from what they were before, it's not like OcUK are losing a lot of money from people mentioning the rainforest's new DD service, or any other similar service for that matter. I wonder how many games OcUK has actually sold that weren't included in a 'Deal' with hardware over the last year. Probably not enough to make it worth ruining the PC Games section of the forum. :S

Well no keyboard warrior stuff here but i have a very short temper when it comes to rudeness even from people bigger than me

FYI, I have read the relevant threads, but I haven't seen the emails he sent so can't judge that.

Be the bigger men here, it would be a wise move.

I think we can all move forward as long as we use common sense and the mods like wise. Everybody gets a bit of forum rage and im sure he probably has had a talking to. What isn't on however is the sending of emails to members personal accounts. I know we provide these to sign up but this wasn't the intended purpose and im sure would be breaching data laws perhaps. If i was to do that to a customer at my work I would be in massive **** really. Always do my shopping at ocuk and love the service but this has dented my confidence slightly but wont change where I buy my parts

For this, I was suspended with the reason "Think it's funny now?".

Rather unprofessional, tbh.

I have no qualms following forum rules - the moderation is actually what has kept me here all these years - but to suspend someone for a reasonable opinion is just petty.
