Competitors - a clarification

This forum seems too heavily moderated for me...not quite sure who the owners think they're lol.

It's a forum, should let people talk about whatever, people get banned for swearing...everyone swears on youtube/facebook, thats life, its 2011...dont see problem.

Not quite sure who makes up all these daft rules and regulations, I reckon they really up themselves.

EDIT: Plus think about all the time wasted telling people not to talk about a game or a competitor, these forums admins would be going insane telling me not to say something for years on end, what a waste of time.

I remember wondering about that when it first happened and we've seen some pretty poor behaviour since then really. Last night was probably the culmination of that.

Moderation of this place was always done by the people that really loved the forums. I was there once and some of the people I have met and had some good times with then-moderators but we all had one thing (at least) in common - which was a love for the forums.

Sticking anyone that has a job at OcUK in that role means you remove that love and understanding from things and thats when you get the user base peed off with the mod team and unsightly threads popping up here and there.

I just mentioned it there and it's a forum that Gibbo reads a lot, I said he should post in here but I guess he went to bed and didn't think to!

It is being handled though, so don't worry.
 
although if motors has an Off topic thread it might be worth having one in pc games.

might be nice to have pcgame focuses general chatter rather than game /thread specific.
