Can anyone give me a summary on what's cracked off here? Can't be arsed reading through 12 pages of what seems to be e-drama.

Staff Dons went crazy and started throwing bananas and ape **** around the forum.
I very rarely venture in to the games forums, but:
A) I'm offended to have seen the thread where valkia uses the racial slur 'rag head' and then, with NatWraith, tries to defend its use. Indeed, NathWraith then gets passive agressive at people complaining that they're offended by what was said - it's disgusting. Von accepted that it was a racial slur that shouldn't be used (really the least you'd expect), but seemingly nothing was done about it - indeed NathWraith describes it as 'another case of the members getting uperty at the dons... well you all look very stupid now don't you'. I'm lost for words.
B) If valkia is using people's personal email addresses for a purpose other than the reason they're being stored, then surely that's a breach of the Data Protection Act?
C) Even if it's not a breach of that, it's astonishingly unprofessional
D) I was shocked to see the views of - what looks like a fair chunk of the games forum - dismissed on the basis that the forums bring in less than 10% of OcUK's revenue. Would you say this to a customer face to face? Could you imagine saying 'I'm sorry sir, you've not spent a huge amount so I don't care what you think'?
E) Blackmailing forum members is just childish and, again, totally unprofessional.
The consensus seems to be that the forum doesn't want valkia sacked, but do want him to lose his mod status. Honestly, if anyone had done any one of A-E at my workplace it would be a disciplinary matter. If anyone used racist terms on a publicly accessible site owned by the employer it would be an instant suspension at the least. I’m flabbergasted that OcUK have sought to, in any way, defend what’s happened above.

Can I just say that anything that happens between OcUK and an employee is none of our business. How would people feel if their boss disciplined them (or didn't) and posted about it online afterwards?
But it all happened online, to let those who were involved in it all, know the outcome isn't a bad thing to do at all. Your example just looks like an employer gossiping online about their staff, about something that happened in the office.
Brass tacks time. This is what happened, reduced to a single sentence:
"A company employee insulted a large amount of loyal customers."
The incident happened very much in public, so there's no reason that the aftermath shouldn't be equally public to heal any bad feeling caused.

Who? They suspended 3 people and maybe were rude to a few more, but nobody else can say really they they've been insulted. Confusing rules about what is allowed to be said isn't particularly insulting in my books.

The bannings were probably unfair, but then Steam could suddenly ban your account for no reason if they wanted to, and its the same here. Read the T+C's before signing up.

People are taking this massively OTT, Nath apologised almost immediately for the 10% comment IIRC and said he just made a mistake in the heat of the moment but people are STILL going on about it, just let it go.
