Looks like the Rollup for RTM 8.1 fixes the secure boot not configured error, that's good.
We all know that the windows 8.1 update itself will be a free download, but there have been a few discussions on the best way to buy a new version, the consensus being (I believe) that it would be to start with a retail version of Windows 8.0.
One of the cheapest ways I have found to obtain one of these is from a fairly popular on-line supplier of office based products who is currently selling the upgrade version (from XP. Vista or 7) of Windows 8.0 Pro for just £46.19 which includes 'free' next day shipping via UPS.
This has to be a good deal, surely?
Wouldn't trust them myself

seem MS has changed the RTM version??
There will be nothing wrong with it, it is just the offer stock from when they did the crazy price.
So, for those who are after one, then it has to be a good deal, surely?
I have just installed them as well, they seem to have sorted out some stuttering issues I have had. Seems slightly faster too.
Correct.
So when do we get the final release? That tommorow then?
Can we expect to see a full 8.1 clean install or upgrade only?
it's tomorrow (17th) midday GMTafaik it's friday, and clean install wont be needed
