What castors did you use @Mcnumpty2323 ? Any pics of your system? cheers :)
Not got any pictures handy right now
But will try to find them
Don't think ocuk sell them
So should be safe to say got them on eBay
Roughly 25 for 4 from memory
Amazon probably do them too
Got polyurethane wheels I think they are
Got a brake too
And you can get the wheels in different colours too
Which is useful to match your build colour
Originally I put the castors on a cheapo black floating shelf
As a trolley or dolly or however you would call it
That I had laying around which meant no drilling the case
Or having to no more nails them on

Edit
Then attached direct to my case
Which gives the extra clearance underneath

Thanks a lot @Mcnumpty2323 , much appreciated. Looks v good. Have done some test measurements on the base of my chassis and it won't fit three fans there on the underside (at least, without me having to cut some metal away).

So the 'gain more space' part of this can't be achieved, but I think there is a solid strip front and back to fix some threaded castors to (not a baseplate type; not enough solid metal to fix a plate type to). This would work independently of the 'custom' radiator mounting as per the original topic of this post.

Currently am tearing my hair out with cable managment in the rear side of the case. I need to plan some of this to make sure the front side of thecase works. Thought I was being clever by combining bunches of fans cables into braided looms with braid and heatshrink.

But these are still quite big and numerous... There are still way too many cables converging in the back. And I still have to fit controllers, hubs, and splitters... I will need to get super sharp at planning the routes and being more efficient.

(PS - any good recommendations for an image hosting site that's easy, free, and does BB code? Have been stung in the past with image sites going under....)

Yeah I detest cable management
Dpd is literally on the way with my Xmas present :)
9 X al120 fans
The ones that click together so 3 fans only has 2 cables
Plus I can run them all from one controller
Unlike my Corsair
For images those thumbnail ones I posted are with postimage
Though with the internet there's never any guarantees
If a website will be around forever
Have also used Imgur but would say postimage is simpler to use

Those fans look awesome mate, I should have used those.... Going to have to google for vids and articles for decent fan managment. Haven't seen anything that specifically hits the spot on fans themselves.

Just installed them
They look great much better than the original sl120 version
In my opinion anyway
Installed 8 fans
All running off 1 controller which is way smaller than the commander pro
That I removed
Only 2 wires from each group of fans
Fantastic as I detest cable management

With these I just removed a Corsair commander pro
Corsair led controller
A fan hub
And 2 fan splitters
And a ton of fan wires actually closed the rear panel
On my pc with no effort for once
Yeah they weren't cheap but already thinking am very happy
That someone got me them for Xmas :):)

I need to get clues up on cable creation. I have far too many wires and cables to deal with, almost all of them longer than they need to be. Loath as I am to make this build even more complicated, I feel like I might need to cut down some of my cables.

I’ve asked the same question in the aquero owner’s thread, but, can anyone recommend a good kit for crimping and wire creation for pcie/atx/usb/dupont cables? I appreciate these are different pin types and wire guages.

on the radiator mount ‘bespoke angle restraint question’ I’m stumped. I can’t work out a way to get a bracket to splip in between fan and rad to provide a holding down component.

edit: @Mcnumpty2323 nice one on your Xmas prezzie

@Space Monkey was selling a load of stuff
For doing your own cables and plugs etc
Perhaps he can advise you
Or even sell you some bits he has about everything needed

Should be possible will need some slightly longer radiator screws
But it's late
And sleeping pills kicking in so brain has gone to mush now
So will leave that part for now

Edit not sure if you qualify for MM
I know long term members had lower entry requirements
But can't remember how low
If you do qualify look on page 5 I think
Of software and hardware for sale for his post

Happy Christmas all :)

Looked into custom cable making. Looks quite daunting so will perhaps give that a pass.

On the bottom radiator restraint issue, I think I have a solution. I am going to get a small piece made (probably in carbon fibre) that can fit into the fan mounting hole holes, it’ll protrude out past the side of a rad and let a vertical spacer or rod extend down to the base of the chassis. Alternatively, it could also accept a small angle to fit to another angle.

This idea actually came about in trying to solve another issue elsewhere on the build! So will see how this works out.

I have some castors also. Might get drilling this evening.

Merry Xmas to you too mate

Yeah think making your own cables
Is time consuming and repetitive

I think you may be overthinking the radiator restraint
Unless you ever intend turning the case upside down
Actual attachment by screws between
The fans and radiator shouldn't really be necessary
Just need to stop sidewards movement due to
Initial fan torque
Or moving the case around
Which the L brackets you did should do

But yes that would work
Think already mentioned similar idea
To make it a Z/S bracket by attaching to the L brackets
You already did
Though not with carbon fibre I must admit

Thanks guys. Yes, the ability to move the case around so easily is an absolute godsend. So good. This build is unbelievably heavy, and now I can just rotate it round so quickly, it makes installing components, threading cables from front to back, checking alignments of things, etc, a breeze.

Yeah portability/easier access was a major reason
I fitted the wheels
As got a couple popped vertebrae
And arthritis in my back
So even turning it around just once to fit a cable
Was awful never mind doing a full build
The higher ground clearance was an added benefit
My bottom radiator is 6 multiport
So have actually came off one of the bottom ports
And got my drain port underneath the pc
Absolutely the lowest point in the loop
With the 1 inch or whatever clearance the case originally had
That would have been impossible

Yeah I love your concept of going down through the bottom of the chassis.

I have a drain port on the bottom side of the bottom rad. So this is basically the absolute bottom of the loop (minus maybe a mm or two). I’ll post a pic tomorrow.

But as mentioned previously in the thread, there is a vertical rad with two ports and both are located at the top.

So unless I get a cross flow on that rad - which at this point of the build will be a real balls to implement - I will have to do at least a 90 degree rotate of the case to drain, or, remove the rad with liquid still in it, or, use the cycling of distilled water flush method to dilute the previous liquid.

Yeah those 2 top ports will be a nuisance
Not sure if you could flip it
To ports at the bottom
Then run tube from top radiator down the right hand side
Of the vertical radiator
If that makes any sense lol
Late and been popping sleeping pills
Probably not best time to try to have a good idea lol
