As an AMD user, its a bittersweet pill. Plus the lack of motherboards until the nForce5 is available and some of the highsest prices on the net for the Conroe make it hard to swallow.
 
Well considering that the "Official Release Date" for the Conro CPU isn't until sometime around the 27th by which time we should have 965, 975x and NVidia based conroe boards coming out of our ears.
Oh and (I'm sure if they want to be competitive) a £25 - £30 cut in the current CPU prices...
 
I've cancelled my Conroe E6600 order for now. I'm gonna ride this one out and wait for the prices to go down (and more Nforce 590 SLI boards), then I'm gonna order components (looking at an Extreme 6800 now).
 
Strongbow makes you change your mind :eek: was going to wait for the E6700 had a few and ive now ordered X6800 hic :D
 
Nah got it sorted as its my 40th soon,hell thats a good reason to backward is it not,beet buying a big red sports car :D
