Conroe now available from OcUK!

Well it aint fair to be honest, after spending over £900 on several components all from overclockers you'd think overclockers would stop the scheming. No way am I paying £800 just so I can have the processor early.

Isn't £250 for the E6600 enough?

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but at the start of the thread it specifically states that Overclockers will be the first to have Conroe in stock and they would be available from 14th onwards. But now it seems that it's false and it conveniently happens to be the most expensive processor that's available early and Intel apparently aren't keeping up to their end of the deal concerning the other versions of the Conroe?

Just seems like a marketing ploy really.

Will my Storm waterbock fit the Conroe?
If so do i have to get anything for it to make it fit ?

Such a huge thread cant seem to find out anything on it.

im sure it will fit fine, ive used 2 waterblocks which were 775 ones and work fine. If they fit regular 775 boards they will work fine.

just noiced ocuk web page showing x6800 has the green light

Cool that must mean, the 6600s are about to follow, i reckon a week after. :)

Ah well, a week to go. Besides, the motherboard I've ordered has said "1 to 3 days" for 9 days now so it wouldn't make a difference if the E6600 suddenly came into stock.

I just wish mine would arrive before Friday, as I go on holiday on Friday morning..

Can ocuk make special arrangements for me? :D

heh... and I'm having a major operation; a legectamy, an armectamy, an eye-ectamy, an earectamy and... what else do you have 2 of? actually, I'll stop there.

It would really make me feel so much better if I had all my components delivered before I have to go into hospital for this operation. :p :)

Only problem there is mines real and yours isn't :)

PS: on a more serious note, how long do royal mail keep special delivery items for you?
