US: Continuum

Good episode, though I retain my earlier scepticism that they haven't got a clue where any of this is going long term and it's going to collapse into an absolute X-files style cluster**** before long.

yea most the show will always be in a time period similar to our own so surely the story will just end up dragged out until it gets cancelled
they won't have the budget to take the show anywhere else other than for a few scenes

Yeah I thought they was kinda it's downfall. Since a new timeline was created, surely a new one would be created every time the machine was used, so Kiera could never get to the same one as Alec.

Seemed silly to me to make it that complicated.

The point is that certain people have significantly more influence on the flow of time lines and branching than others, Alec being someone who has a huge amount of influence due to all the mega influential things he's done up to the point of Kiera's time.

They actually explained this part in the episode, thousands of people could do things differently to how they had originally, and ultimately nothing would change (because all these people hadn't done anything to make a change with the world).

Think of people who lead a quiet life, and don't really do anything to shape the way the world is, what they do is irrelevant (in terms of doing the same thing as they did in the past) because the different things they do are still mundane things that don't shape the way the world ends up being.

time travel..... try not to think about it otherwise it makes your head hurt

great little show, I like this similar feel and vibe to almost human

It's boggling my missis' mind.... I'm gonna need to draw her timeline diagrams so she can work out what's going on!

Really liking the tone of S3 so far though.

Really enjoyed this episode :D

It was cool how they had the cockroaches being controlled as it's something you could do in real life with no experience.

It kinda reminded me of how in "Person of Interest" they try to be relevant to real life with the geeky/technical subjects unlike a lot of so called sci-fi/geeky TV series!

This shows is one of best imo.

I like how even details that you think are filler or not relevant end up having a larger point that you don't find out until later.

So far this season it looks like they are showing just how bad the future will be, banned books, police being controlled remotely to murder informants when they are finished with them. All sounds like a terrible not so far away future.

s3ep5

I thought it was a great episode, one of the best so far. I realy like the way the show is going and its the only series that while watching it I don't want it to finish.

Looks like green alec is going to have to kill off red alec. The green alec has turned in to a real ass and it looks like kelogg is going to team up with red alec to take down the other alec.

Season 3 not coming to syfy uk apparently as us ratings has been so poor for season 3 in US for some unknown reason. Season 4 is still happening at this point as its still popular in Canada and on netflix.

Recent Simon Barry interview with questions about the killing of betty :(

Looks like the canadian showing is moving from sunday to friday, i think they are trying to get the series synced up with the american audience as people were complaining that they can't discuss the series, as canada is always 3 episodes ahead, on forums.

This means you can now catch (download) this weeks coming episode on saturday morning opposed to monday.

Shes way hotter with dark hair imo.

My Head still hurts!

yes dark hair suits her she plays a blonde in a new film called tokarev and looks terrible she also is one of those females that require makeup at all times;)

This season I have no idea what is going on and yes my head hurts.... it is not good when the plots get this involved and indepth since it means the next season may never come sadly.

I got a bad feeliing Continuum has run its course sadly...

At this point season 4 still going to happen as the series is popular in Canada on showcase and has a reasonable international fanbase in countries where they don't even get the series.

They realy failed at marketing/selling the series imo. They went to syfy when they should have gone to sky or channel4 and equivalent networks.

Season 3 has been excellent so far, each episode just gets better than the last. The first episode of s3 was the worst and i think the timeline collapse story was not received well by anyone.

I don't find the series confusing at all though. But it is the sort of series if you miss a few episodes it may be enough for your to lose the plot.

I may be totally wrong, but I think I've figured out what Kellog is up to.

That future guy with a beard didn't recognise Alec Sandler's name as being important, but he did recognise Matthew Kellog. I reckon Kellog is going to attempt, and succeed in, a take over of Piron and become the future 'leader' like Alec Sandler was in the original time-line.
