Controller versus mouse and KB

I can always play fairly well with mouse and keyboard but can only play ok after using a controller for FPS for a long time, If i have a break from FPS on controller it's like i have to re-learn it all over again.

I think it's harder for PC users to play console FPS games than it is for none PC owning console gamers.

It also depends on the game, you couldnt really play a twitch FPS like CS on a console, but games like COD4 are perfectly playable with a pad.

Some games are better suited to Mouse and Keyboard, some are better suited to joypad.
As with either, you get better with practice.

As nokkon said, it all boils down to the game. Certain games are lovely on kb/mouse, others are plain arkward on them and would be better suited to a pad. It really is individual games, within the genre of RPGs some are better with the use of a mouse, the likes of neverwinter nights, while otheres are obviously oriented to the pad side, the likes of final fantasy etc.

I gamed using only WASD and mouse for about two years until the 360 was released, and while i sucked at first, i soon got better.

You'll never be able to aim as quickly, but using a joypad has certain benefits that using a m&k don't. I enjoy both methods equally for quite different reasons.

I'm so sick of 'gamers' who are so ignorant to the fact that control pads are much more flexable to the kinds of games they are good in, including first person titles.

PC elitists should go back to where they came, they clearly aren't gamers.
