Core 9000 series

Nope not buying at this price, but I don't think it's ridiculous, I'm happy to wait for reviews, comparisons to AMD and 8700k etc - then wait for the prices to come down a bit, no point paying a premium to be the first person to own one.

Edit, I think the 599.99 is ridiculous, but on other sites 550 seems a bit better, though I won't seriously consider it whilst it's over 500.

wow, so the site that had the 9900k for £550 has increased their price now to £600, probably after seeing OcUK and others list at £600.

It's what I thought would happen... :(

Does the higher boost/overclocks of the intels help vs AMD variants? as i thought the AMD dont clock as well?

Im asking as i have a build in mind for a family member.

Clearly the AMD has more cores/threads for your money.

Yeah my biting point was £450, which is the RRP give or take, but at these prices? Nope. Oh well, another 6/9 months to save up & see what 7nm zen brings.

Meh i've been buggering about waiting for these for six months now. £100 more than I was expecting but sod it, if I don't pre-order will have to wait ages for them to get extra stock in.

"Thank you for your order with Overclockers UK!

We have sent you the order confirmation by email."

You're welcome. I feel dirty.

Yeah that sucks about UK prices. Not sure what international shipping comes to, but B&H still has the cheapest legit price in the US for the 9900K at $529. That's like a bit over £400 just on a straight currency conversion, before any shipping or taxes. Probably like £500ish after VAT and shipping?

Pee take much lol, I was about to go order but this is plain silly. One thing I do want is the new version of the ROG Dimmm.2 for my Apex Z370 but not sure if Asus ever retail those parts separately?

As I'm still on x58 I'd been waiting for these to drop. I'd have gone to £400 for a 9900k which to me is what I'd consider 'reasonable' considering the previous flagship was £280 at its best price point... However 'f' that shizz, unless they take a drastic nose dive on price I'll just go for an AMD as I have zero brand loyalty to Intel or AMD. I just want good value for my cash.
