Corsair Carbide Air 540 Builds

just out of curiosity has anyone made a cover for the inside bottom of the case?

I would be interested to see if anyone have bought one of these as well. I really am no good with making things, and the previous post on here about the lightbox/acrylic cover looked really interesting. Unfortunately the shop is closed for a couple of months, and will only re open in the new year. If anyone know anywhere else that could make a cover, doesn't have to specifically be a lightbox, I would be happy with a smart looking cover to be honest.

Working on covering all panels for my build. Excuse dirt of the case, just that way from working on it.

OK thanks for that. So if I set up the fans like this;

1x140mm AF – Back – exhaust.
3x 120mm SP – Front – Intake.

2x120mm SP - H100/Top – Intake.

Would that work ok?

What's the reasoning behind people using SP's as front intake instead of the AF's? I thought you would want high air flow into the case?

So here's mine ... I did have just a single GTX 780ti DHS which looked amazing with the build but Wanted more Power so it got sold.

Anyway I Dub her the ''Panda''

Ive made no real modifications other than aesthetics bits n bobs with l.e.d's .

I plan to replace the stock GPU Power cable with another extention , also im thinking about covering those blue VRM heatsinks. What do you all recommend I cover it with and how ? ( it wants to be white, best of it is MSI released a Black and white version of my board I just didn't want to wait ) id also like to board up the bottom as my 1TB is now external

^I do think that's better looking but I needed More POWERRRRRRRR!

Nnnnnnnice!
Quite like the look of the SLI array - The Standard PCI power is grating on me though!
Always go braided :D

Looks great though, nice to see a white one.

As for covering the blue accents- if you're super concerned about performance, then get some thin alu sheet and bend it roughly to shape, and cover with some vinyl film maybe - You could stick them on with heat sink adhesive.
Or, if you're handy with a scalpel, you could always just lay the vinyl directly onto the heatsink and cut to the heatsink design/shape once the vinyl is heated into the form of the heatsink (hairdryer works well).

Edit: Ok, that makes it more challenging to understand what I'm talking about. In the picture posted by Zoomee towards the bottom of page 30 of this thread, you can see a metal connector in the red water line from the pump that has wires coming out.

@zoomee: Is that just an inline temp sensor we can see in the middle of the pic on the pipe from the pump or does it do flow as well? What is it? Cheers

Just got my air 540 in white, and wondered what fans I should buy?

My rig is:

Gigabyte z77x-u3dh mobo
i5 3570k processor
16mb vengeance LP RAM
SLI MSI Gtx 970s
XFX 750w pro psu

I currently have a Noctua nh-d14 cpu cooler, which works great but looks like a pig, and I was thinking of changing to a Corsair H105?

Given all of this, what fans should I buy and what configuration should I set them up in? After coming from a quiet Fractal Design R4 case, noise control is crucial! (I should add I've got an aftermarket fan controller too).

Any advice appreciated

Thanks
