Corsair RBG Owners Club

Yes, another reason I got the K70 as I didn't want a wide keyb with macro keys. Remove the wrist rest and it's very compact, but it's looks better and the rest is actually quite decent.

Mine has the newer gaming logo, I know ppl have requested/wanted the original sails logo but I wasn't fussed.

Have to agree. If and when this issue is sorted out properly then I'll consider purchasing one but not until it is. Had I already purchased it, I'd be returning it for a refund in the interim.

I have nothing against Corsair (I have one of their cases and it's awesome) but high-end products like this shouldn't be launched when the manufacturers know full well that it doesn't do what it's claimed to.

I agree.

I also have nothing against Corsair, in fact I purchased their SP2500 speaker system a couple of weeks ago.

What I am fed up with is manufacturers releasing products that are either a) rubbish or b) not really ready.

I realise there are all sorts of factors involved, but surely it's not that difficult to design, produce and test a product before releasing it for sale. Actually, I'm sure it isn't easy to design and manufacture a product such as a K70 RGB, but testing is fairly easy, especially if you get your customers to do it ! If these keyboards were suffering from a minor bug, that "slipped through the net" during design and testing, then it would be understandable. However, we have seen "botched" firmware updates and even worse, a feature (16.8 million colours) that isn't yet available. Seems like this product was rushed to market. Yes, a few of us were getting impatient, but the least Corsair could have done was to announce that 16.8 million colours wouldn't be available until the software is ready.

Meanwhile, the letters are wearing off my Microsoft keyboard (Corsair are partly to blame for that ! ;) ), and I really would like to buy a K70 RGB. I could buy one and hope that Corsair sort it out, but for £140 I expect to be getting a good quailty product that works properly.

Yeah the logo issue doesn't bother me and I rarely use macro keys, not enough to warrant the k95.

Are the issues largely confined to the colouring or are there other issues? Heard someone mention a possible usb lag?

Not had any issues with lag, did read about it on other forums but in my usage not had anything happen.

Its just the full 16.8m colouring that is being talked about now - something that will be addressed soon. I'm chuffed with it, I just think the s/w could be better, Corsair really need to step up in this area.

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. I would have been happy enough with the K70 normal, but when this came along I thought why not...

Turn it off in CUE.
Open CUE, select the profile you use in the drop down menu then press the button with 3 lines on it to the side of the drop down menu, go down to where it says "type lighting" and uncheck "Enable" .

I am, of course, assuming this is the wave effect you mean, and not something else profile related.

Thanx Deo . sorted :)

I have just come from a Ducky Shine 3 with Browns to the k70 RGB with Reds and I have to say I prefer the Reds overall , although they are a little louder when typing ...but when in game ( BF4) they seem more responsive and smoother for me :)

But as I said the Reds are a little louder .

Hello everyone :P

I also bought the CGK70 RGB which is a goddam amazing keyboard (red switches) but, the driver/customizing program is sooo annoying.

Am I the only one having problems with it ? It doesn't work properly, stops responding every 10 seconds and it's pretty much unusable for me.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Just got a CGK70 RGB and no matter what I try, I just cant get the CUE software to install. Every time I try I just get an unknown file association error, Open File Extension 77, does anyone know what im doing wrong?

Try it in a differant USB port. Are you using USB3 or USB2?

This is strange, ive just tried downloading CUE using Chrome and it worked first time, IE11 just didn't want to know.

So to my next question.. when CUE is disabled, the WASD and arrow keys are solid white, but as soon as Cue is enabled, those keys start to change to red and then back to white over and over again, how do I stop this??

Also, if I use USB 3.0 do I only need to plug in 1 of the connectors, or do I still need to use both?
