Cost of Living - Shrinkflation is speeding up at an alarming rate

Leffe blonde beer used to be 6.5% alcohol, now its 6.0%
Leffe brune remains unchanged at 6.6%... but is now slighthly more expensive
Leffe is also the mainstream very commercialised Belgium beer.

You can’t get most of the really good stuff over hear outside of specialist importers.

Stayed over in Liverpool Saturday night at the Hilton Liverpool one I opened the wardrobe where the fridge usually is to be greeted by this , in the last 10 years of many stays I've never had a fridge with any items inside but at least it worked as a mini fridge .

OK, but here me out, and here is where a massive dose of common sense is required, you just explain that you emptied the crap out and didn't consume it.

Lifeing is hard IRL

It clearly says that if you so much as move the items, you'll be automatically billed. You think they'll care that you didn't consume any of it or not?

Then they just explain that the T&Cs you agreed to but probably didn't read say you agreed to be charged if you moved an item from the mini fridge and you stand at reception arguing the toss with the local manager for the next 45 minutes to get £250 removed from your bill :p

Oh I agree but then all they will do is reimburse you for the items in the fridge and then, justifiably, charge you for use of a personal fridge the same as if you requested it at reception

I'm sure the lad on minimum wage at reception will be far more reasonable than the FUD shared by resident OCUKers lol.

Not if it means getting written up or possibly losing their job if they're already on a final warning etc, which is all too common these days for employees at the bottom of the pyramid who don't follow every rule to the letter.

It's a sad state of affairs, but it happens.

Source: no one ever

What's your source then, considering your solution is to explicitly tell them you ignored the warning and opened the fridge anyway to use it?

I also love how you think nobody has ever been written up for not enforcing daft little policies like the above.

Whether you can personally stand there and argue your way out of paying is another matter.
