Countdown to competition...

yup.

I am not going to go crazy with the preparation as this will be my first competition (October) and so I am running on the basis of weighing whatever I way and lifting whatever I can lift.

Doing it properly would be hard on my current gym routine, with my forecast weight difficult to guess (cutting required?) being unknown and my maximum in six month time also being unknown.

I am targeting 110kg for snatch and 140kg cnj but who knows?

SNATCH (2) 40-50-60-70-80
BACK SQUAT (6) 127.5-127.5-127.5-127.5(1) Left vastus medialis started hurting on the first of the fourth, so packed it in: I got the three sets so was reasonably happy. :)

Hehe... the weight is actually quite easy to manage on its way down provided arms are locked out.

One of the "fun" things about training with so little space is precision: it has to work and be jn exactly the right place or it doesn't. So I rarely fail lifts because the bar is in the wrong olace now, which is nice. This was one of the rare ones...

Failure - I think - was also because of my left shoulder being very tight and not being as stable as it should have been... Next time.

Forgot the actual log bit...

SNATCH (2) 40-60-80-80-95 (f) Shoulder was stiff but power seemed good... so why not?
SQUAT (6) 130-130-100(8)-100(8) Quad felt a bit sore today so decided to revert to "old" form. Then realised it was still hurting so decided for some light groove reps. It would seem I need to taper down now and focus on resting for triples, but 130*6 projects a nice increase on my previous 1RM

As my shoulder and quad insertion were still hurting, tI decided to cut this short and focus on food. :)
