Counter-Strike 2

I somehow managed a game with only 10 kills, but 100% HS

CS2 feels... weird, but it's definitely going in the right direction. It feels a lot more accurate, and so far I'd say 95% of my weird shots have been obviously me.

I have had a few cases of still, crouched body shots missing though, watched the tracers go through their body. Far less frequent than CSGO though

I've had plenty of CS2 games with less than 10 kills :p I can't seem to string a run of decent games together at the moment, one game i'm 25 kills, plenty of assists and a 2.0 KD, the next game I go into half time with 4 kills on the verge of tilting  Luckily I always play with a 3 stack minimum so have a friend to pick up the slack!

So many weird happenings in the game at the moment, i'm not sure if its the new subtick system or the player models being more fluid but SMGs and Shotguns are properly broken. The amount of times i've had enemies just flying round corners and i'm dead before i've seen them, or i've been killed by an AWPer while i'm AWPing before i've seen them come round the corner.

Either way, it's still the best game out there as no game comes close to the competitiveness of it, and i'm really looking forward to the full release and seeing it played by the pros in a proper tournament setting, I think it's only then will the game start to get properly dialled.

No news on the release date those far? I know they keep saying "soon" but that can be anytime I suppose

We're into Valve time now, so all bets are off.

ESL Pro League is currently happening with the grand final on 1st October, so maybe after that, but IEM Sydney is Mid-October so could be after that?

Or it could be next week? Who knows! :p

I'm finding the game far more accurate than CSGO, it took some getting used to for sure... I'm seeing *far* less cases of getting behind walls then dying, or people instapeeking and one-tapping me before I've even seen their model tbh. I'm much happier with my misses too because they actually feel like misses now, not "how the fjfjchdhhe did that miss?" On AWP shots in the middle of their body.

I'm annoyed at the lack of left-hand viewmodels though. Valve pls fix.

Since I've yet to play CS2, I'm curious to know if anyone has had a significant drop off in fps compared to CSGO?

Being a snob that likes playong on max setting, i have concerns for my rx580 going forward. I may have to invest in a new gpu.

Definitely, played CSGO on max and got 600-700FPS, sometimes 800+.

Without checking I probably average 300-400fps in CS2.

- Everything cranked to max including g resolution scaling of whatever it’s called (200%)
-Ryzen 7600, 4090, 32gb RAM

Your rx580 might do stable 100fps on 1080p on low if lucky. Drop is significant, mainly due to poor optimization and shader problems especially on AMD cards... Never mind huge imput lag...
Although it's beta and they're releasing updates nearly daily...

My guess on new menu system and just CS2 generally it would allow more weapons, more variation in the loadout like a couple games do have. Prior it was limited by space ? Now I can choose both m4 to play with the game etc.

Someone high rank I know made a CS2 skin just wanted to see how far they could get with it, I reckon its great looking good gradient on the colours. The chances of making a skin and getting it into the game is probably 1% or less

Red isn't my vibe but that's a nice skin!

Would love to learn how to make my own and get one in the game :D

It's generally "easy" these days - Valve provide the templates for you. The hard part is getting it voted in if that's your goal...

Though nothing will make me get rid of my AWP Phobos.

Watched a few videos last night, like you say the process is "easy" but to get to the level of some of the skins in the game would take some serious dedication!

Forever praying I win the lottery so I can buy an AWP Gungnir to complete my blue skin collection

Currently have a ST FN AWP Atheris
