Counter-Strike 2

Hipefully fixed bomb falling out map on inferno. Its pretty annoying keep dying after going aroind a corner with new code.
 
It seems they are not going to meet todays release target, that would be hilarious. Day one steam reviews are going to be fun! I'm hearing some not so good feedback from the pro scene as well.

You can say it’s not ready for the pro scene, but for 99.9% of the playerbase it’s definitely good enough.

There’s still a few quirks, but they’ll be patching pretty steadily.

The first tournament is going to be in Copenhagen in March, so plenty of time for the game to be patched before then!

Watching OhnePixel’s stream, it looks like there’s 30ish servers/games still ongoing, so the thought it we’ve got to wait for these games to finish before they can do anything, better yet, apparently they’re all Flying Scoutsman servers with XP farming bots on them :cry:
 
So it seems they have just renamed CSGO to CS2 instead of giving it a proper release. So no more CSGO and no now have all the old reviews and things being carried over into 2.
 
So it seems its been publicly released now as everyone is saying their games are auto-updating.

Yet nothing promoting it on Steam store at all which is one of the most baffling things I think I've ever seen. Maybe tomorrow?

There is a lot missing from the game, so they might be splitting the update or something.
 
So far, I'm loving it! I quite like this shooting, feel it's all quite an improvement. Not encountered any bugs so far though, early days...
 
Works flawlessly on linux mint, is it me though or does anyone else think it looks weird graphically? Like a TF2 cartoon'y vibe on the walls/surfaces? I don't mind it but kinda of looks like they've gone for a less realistic art style?

Definitely prefer it to CS:GO, I won the first full match I played and the gun physics/recoil definitely seems better/to my liking - reminds me of how I preferred CSS to cs1.6 when that came out.

Could be a placebo though? Might be the same recoil etc as CSGO?

Oh and it looks AWFUL if you do the usual CS thing of running at the lowest settings on everything in your native res to see through the smoke, so I've chosen looks over winning this time round haha!
