It's all match making these days.

So party up with friends (1,2,3 or 5 friends at a time, no 4 stacks in the new premier mode) and then hit "Go" and it finds you a game against similarly ranked opponents. At least its meant to be similarly ranked opponents :cry:
I don’t think Steam can rank my shocking skills :cry:
 
I haven't tested the cl_interp changed yet but a friend has and has said it's made a massive difference!

We found that holding any sort of angle was almost impossible as your opponent could just swing the corner and you'd be dead before you even see them, meaning that pistol rounds were super T sided as just smashing into a site with the glock was easier than those crisp USP-S one taps you could get in CSGO. That and the MAC-10 was obscene, just sprint around like Call of Duty killing people :cry:

Got my rating in premier mode over the weekend, 6534. Seems rating is all over the place, but i'm happy with that as i'm never going to be any good at CS :cry:

Finally won my 10 games got 8745, no idea if that's any good like but the players in my last game seemed very good.

Nice! 8k is pretty good, the pros all started at around 17-18k so you're almost halfway to pro :p

What was your rank in CSGO out of interest?

Think I'm far too old for that nowadays just happy I can still aim a little bit :D Was reading on reddit and apparently some people who were supreme have been ranking at like 5k and stuff, think they're a bit all over the place atm.

Last time when I played regularly I got up to LE, highest before that was LEM.

Yeah the rankings are all over the place, as well as the ELO gained/lost per match?


My usual playing partner placed around 100-200 points ahead of me, played the exact same amount of games, but now he's 300 behind me and we've played, won and lost the exact same amount of games :confused:

You are correct ref jump throws, although I don't think it's as easy as holding mouse 1 and hitting space, I think you need to actually time the release to be at the top of your jump? I'll test it tomorrow night for you, safe to say my work laptop will not run CS2 like it did CSGO :cry:

I think most active CSGO players should have a Beta invite now, so in essence it has been "released."

Wouldn't surprise me if they do an official release before too long, they're pumping out updates a few times a week now they're not stuck trying to fix the spaghetti code in CSGO and worrying a slight change will blow the game up :p

I unranked whilst off on summer hols with the kids, missed that wave of invites :( Got my rank back the other day so hopefully soon...

Hopefully dude! Can't see why Valve wouldn't want as many people as possible playing the game, hopefully you're not waiting too long!

What rank were you before the summer?
 
lol silver 3 :cry: Only started playing competitive this year (previously I'd just play casual mode), but I got my first rank as s2 then the next match it upped me straight to s3, and I've been chillin here ever since :cry:

I feel your pain, problem with the escaping the lower ranks is team mates are just awful :mad::mad:

I'm never going to be great at the game, but I like to think I have a pretty deep understanding of how the game works and good game sense, but that's all moot when your team are playing team death match :(
 
Or leave at the start of the match. Had one guy AFK last night from round 1 so disappeared at the start of 3, the he came back around 10... but was AFK again *facepalm*

Hold on? I'm i supposed to be playing the "ranked" modes and not "casual"? Man I suck at reading if that is the case :cry:
