COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Had my booster last week and have just booked wife in for Friday - she had the letter come this morning to book in.

The young lad who jabbed me was extreamly good -never felt a thing. When I say young that's anyone under 30 - Best bit was the assisitant she had most beautifull eyes I have ever seen above a mask. :)

People are refusing to take tests now if they run out as have to pay for them.

Will do a LFT tomorrow before my booster. As my parents caught Covid on the plane home in June. Then subsequently I caught it off then later. Though was 17 day gap between them
arriving and me getting a positive result

A lot of the time it can be the bosses pushing the people to go into work and then they complain when the other workers catch it and go off work
It's the fear of going through disciplinary.. Majority of employers, including mine, have this policy - three periods of sickness (excluding surgery and recovery) in a rolling year, and its disciplinary. One of my periods of sickness was an asthma attack caused by the dust and solvents from the mini refit my work had earlier this year. Management didn't count this sickness towards the count.

My workmates wife who also works at the hospital has got no immune system and ended up in a Covid ward.
Her bosses aggressively texted her to see why she wasn't in but her replies weren't believed so she got the Ward Matron to take a picture of her in a bed with a ventilator and then the Matron rang her boss.
