COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Just had my booster, in time for it to be in full force for an upcoming weekend of debauchery and hedonism in a couple of weeks.

I really don't enjoy getting vaccinations, but given what a cold, or a throat infection does to me, I'll always take a vaccine over an infection.
Next up is the flu jab in about 10 days.
 
Just self impose one.

Herein is where I pointed out the things you apparently didn't know COVID was capable of just a few days prior, and yet here you are back to calling it a mild cold.

Getting tired of trying to educate monkeys.

Problem is at work, if we have a sneezing fit or constantly cough, some customers are rude and think we have Covid. My managers have lost count in telling customers that I’m asthmatic (and hay fever) as a few of them have asked to speak to a manager about me coughing! I cough into my elbow crease!

This is why if we get Covid and symptoms are mild, we are best to stay away. As if one of these customers above hears that a colleague working has Covid, I dread to think what they will do.

People need to get this attitude of cough =Covid out of their minds

It's still knocking me for six, I'm about two or three days behind the OH by the looks of things. Symptoms change day to day. Cough has gone just temperature and exploding sinuses - yummy!

The bad cold like symptoms tend to disappear after a week. The fatigue last longer, like the flu, several weeks at least in most people that got bad cold symptoms. Then you have to hope you get better, otherwise the long covid like symptoms persist.

Been nearly 2 months since positive PCR, but i still have fatigue, lethargy, and mental fog. I just can't concentrate for long, work that used be simple few minutes sometimes takes hours, when i do have to do hard mental work i get tired to quickly, but half the time i give up because the brain is just not connecting the dots like it used. It is all too easy just to drift off and loose focus on the work.

It is hard to explain, at the surface i feel and act normal, but i know my brain is nit what is was a few months back. Physically it is the same. I am fairly serious about my running, 5000km last year running almost every single day and well in tune with my body. Usually i can feel something is nit quite right running a few seconds a mile slower or heart rate a few bpm higher (normally a sign of over training, or getting sick). For the last couple of months i have struggled to find my zen spot running. Just constantly feel fatigued. Pace is way down, heart rate up. I try and recover more but the effects are short lived compared to normal.

Sorry to hear about the fatigue and fog, they're more debilitating than the virus itself.

People don't tend to consider that at all and particularly if you're very fit, like you sound like you are, the effects are even more noticeable.

I'm afraid for the time being you just have to employ patience, pushing too hard will just prolong it. I believe they're looking into it all over the world as there are so many cases, how that's proceeding I don't know - many cases seem similar to chronic fatigue/ME and hopefully combining the research in both areas will produce some help at some point.

But, yeah, try and hang in there.
