COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Will let my ex partner know that after she nearly died while working in a mental health institute as a nurse in 2020 (3 patients actually did die), her blood sp02 levels were in the 70's during the illness and she's still suffering long term effects. "Just be healthier lol". I think she probably had an exceptionally high viral load and that the initial strain was much worse than what we have today combined with the immunity from vaccines, but people like you just choose to believe whatever makes your life the easiest and less inconvenienced because it hasn't personally affected you.

Initial strain is just as bad as today's one, but the vaccines are having a massive impact yes.

My father got his Immunoserv results back today as well.

Wow, his T-cell count was 212. Nearly 30% higher than mine. Negative for covid infection antibodies too from when my mother had it in January. He's almost 70.

Grandad still testing positive, though both tests today were much fainter than before, from first symptoms on the 20th or 21st of March. Still has had mild sore throat coming and going and bad fatigue the last few days.

And I'm another one who's finally caught it! The ex, aswell as being a complete psychopath is also an anti vax lunatic and a covid denier who despite being told she and the kids had been exposed to covid, sent my sick daughter back to me without informing me. This despite knowing I'm in the at risk group.

Friday morning I felt, not quite right. By late evening my chest felt like it was in a vice and felt like I was coming down with a heavy flu. Managed to get a PCR test Saturday morning, got positive results Sunday. I've been so unwell that I believe if I hadn't lost a lot of weight recently and put my diabetes into remission it would have been curtains for me despite the triple jab.

Think I've turned a corner today though, still feel half dead. Everything hurts, I've no taste or smell and I feel utterly weak. But I don't feel as bad as yesterday, so that's something. My eldest daughter fortunately seems fine now apart from a little dizziness, toilet trouble every now then and food doesn't taste right.

You don't qualify for the antivirals?

My T- cell count was 77.5, and that's after 4 jabs. I suppose that's what immuno suppressants do :(
Still, better than nothing.

Just got my results back from Immunoserv.....

The blood sample results are below:

SARS-CoV-2 T Cells: Positive
351.8 pg/ml; IFN-g; test is positive if the value is above 22.7 pg/ml

COVID-19 vaccine-/infection-induced antibodies: Positive
>1000 U/ul; test is positive if the SARS-CoV-2 RBD IgG value is above 2.5 U/μl

COVID-19 infection-induced antibodies: Positive
14.2 U/ul; test is positive if the SARS-CoV-2 N IgG value is above 2.5 U/μl

My wife.....

The blood sample results are below:

SARS-CoV-2 T Cells: Positive
44.6 pg/ml; IFN-g; test is positive if the value is above 22.7 pg/ml

COVID-19 vaccine-/infection-induced antibodies: Positive
>1000 U/ul; test is positive if the SARS-CoV-2 RBD IgG value is above 2.5 U/μl

COVID-19 infection-induced antibodies: Negative
2.4 U/ul; test is positive if the SARS-CoV-2 N IgG value is above 2.5 U/μl

I'll need to read what they indicate.

Tested positive this morning for the second time - first time was in November 2021 and was like a moderate cold that I got over quite quickly. This time I'm feeling like absolute garbage - even the joints in my fingers are aching and I have a weird raspy cough.

I'm self employed too so I need an unpaid week off like I need a hole in the head :(

What are your figures, if you don’t mind me asking?
The blood sample results are below:

SARS-CoV-2 T Cells: Positive
39 pg/ml; IFN-g; test is positive if the value is above 22.7 pg/ml
COVID-19 vaccine-/infection-induced antibodies: Positive
>1000 U/ul; test is positive if the SARS-CoV-2 RBD IgG value is above 2.5 U/μl
COVID-19 infection-induced antibodies: Negative
0.4 U/ul; test is positive if the SARS-CoV-2 N IgG value is above 2.5 U/μl

Those are insanely high t-cell figures. Guess that's what a full blown infection does after being vaccinated!

Now it feels like a game I need to win.

These were mine

Out of interest, how long after you caught covid was that test performed?
Around 4 weeks post testing negative.

I believe I also had the original strain when it first reached the UK as well but obviously no testing was available at that point so it's just a hunch based on symptoms and the people I'd been in contact with.
