I had more C+ patients on Friday than I had in the entire previous week.
Why Covid is still flooring some people
A lot of us know someone who has felt pretty rough with the most recent form of the virus.

My brother and Sister in law have both got Covid at the moment, both are feeling very sick, they have both had it before and were hardly ill.
Both have not had a Covid jab now for over 12 months.
My wife and I both had Flu & Covid jabs a few weeks ago at our Doctor's - was not expecting the Covid one (too young), after reading that article I'm glad we did.

One of my colleagues was saying yesterday she has just come back from a holiday with friends and they've all gone down with COVID in the last couple of days aside from her so far. All very rough apparently with fever, etc. she was trying to keep away from people just in case but I think enough time has passed she'd have come out with symptoms by now if she'd picked it up. Though could be asymptomatic.

I've had COVID since last Tuesday for the first time (that I'm aware of). Started with feeling a slight lump in the back of my throat but felt otherwise okay most of the day, then during the night and the next morning I went from freezing cold to boiling hot and feeling physically sick. Eventually felt much better again by the late afternoon and was up and about, then the next morning it kicked me back down again with a horrendously sore throat and feeling really drained. That stayed until the weekend when it started to ease off and turned into a runny nose, congestion etc.
Gradually been feeling better since the end of the weekend but still got a bit of a head cold and a temperature and I can't taste or smell, the symptoms seem to linger for a while. Was supposed to be back to work tomorrow for a couple of days but I've booked them off, I could work if I had to but I really don't fancy it.

I had all 3 vaccinations, and caught it 2 weeks later, as did all my family, it makes zero difference to stopping you catching it...My wife is a couple of years younger than me, goes to keep fit 5 times a week and is heathy and pretty fit
I'm just over 60, only exercise is walking, type 1 diabetic, pernicious anaemia and prostate cancer ( on HT, RT starts in January)
She's been laid up with COVID for the week, I've got no symptoms at all (not tested to see if I have it)
I had the latest vaccination, she didn't...
You misunderstand, she got hammered by it & I didn't. That's what vaccination does

Fairly sure you could spin those or any of those messages from the "evidence" linked above exactly how you want to. It's not the conclusive proof that you would have people believe

Nope, that's just fluke/your wifes imune system.
I chose to look after my parents and isolate with them right...
All 3 of us had it and had the vaccinations, all of us had it different, me it just felt like a pathetic mild headache and my throat hurt a bit and i was hot, my father who smoked for like 55-60 years heavily was fine just a cold, and my mum had it very bad and is the healthiest/never smoked etc etc...
So there is no proof that it does anything to bring it down/stop you getting it, all of us had had all the 3 jabs/top ups etc etc, then randomly caught it 2 weeks later.
