Even if you're recovering in bed with a knee surgery and you catch Covid or Flu you have still got them.

Well exactly so those stats are largely meaningless.

It means we have 128 patients with Covid in hospital beds and 19 people with flu in hospital beds so not meaningless to the staff who are treating them, it's a massive pain in the ass.
Wife always gets ‘coughy’ this time of the year but it’s a mental thing in her head. She’s weird like that.
Sadly this year she has a cold combined with the above, so I caught it too.
After a week it had gone away and I was happy. I popped into work in the 20th as it was my last day (I resigned) and came home. Next morning my nose is quite runny but my body is so weak it brought back memories of Covid from last August.
Tested myself and yep, two lines. So Christmas is ruined over here. My mother was meant to spend the weekend and Christmas with us as she’s lonely since my father passed earlier in the year. My wife is testing negative as we struggle to avoid each other in our small home. She’s gutted (and me!) as she was meant to visit family on the 27th up north.
Everyone over here in NW London is coughing in some way or another and I’ve no idea how I got this one.
This morning I’m happy to say the body pains have gone but I’m still a super snot machine. Other then that I’m ok.

We have had a similar thing here.
Wife started feeling unwell Thursday last week and she has been poorly since.
I have been fine until yesterday and today where I started having a cough, blocked\runny nose and we both tested positive as well.
My parents where meant to be coming over tomorrow for Christmas eve but we have had to cancel this as my dad has cancer and do not want to pass it on to them
Got any proof to back that up, or is it yet another one of those "In N111ck's mind" moments where you just spout whatever nonsense you believe, with 0 proof or evidence to support it?
For the UK currently 1 to 1.3. Looks like it is picking up a bit now.

No, you claimed that the stats provided by someone working IN A HOSPITAL, who's stats were generated by QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS diagnosing Covid in patients.
Vesus you and your "belief" that Covid patients "Are likely there for a million other reasons" when those very patients were diagnosed by QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROFFESIONALS WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
So please.... do inform us where your years of medical knowledge comes from, to be able to so confidently say that DOZENS OF QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROFFESIONALS are wrong.
Also why is it you're so willing to believe the "flu patients" actually have the flu, while the Covid patients are there for "a million other reasons".
What background in medicine do you have? What makes you so certain of the Flu patients being genuine but the Covid patients being fake?

If you have no medical background, STFU trying to say that Covid patients are there for "a million reasons" while Flu patients are genuine, you literally have no clue what you are talking about.

I think I just had it again. I didn't do a test but it felt the same as last time. Not the end of the world but just a bad cold or mild to middling flu. My kids now have it. If it was COVID then that's the third time I've had it. They all felt the same and the vaccine hasn't made a difference to me getting it or making it any better or worse. Hopefully the vaccine was of use to someone but for me it seems to have been a pointless risk (every medicine has a risk of side effects).

Tell me... when something goes wrong with your car and you take it to a garage to be looked at.... do you then refuse to believe what they tell you is wrong with it and instead claim "it could be a million other reasons".

Since this is not what the stats provided by @SexyGreyFox said, you clearly disagree with them and therefore must believe them to be false.

So you are willing to believe the 19 patients that have the Flu are genuine.... but you don't believe the diagnosis of Covid 19 in the other 111?

I slept on the couch last night and my wife and I are doing everything we can to avoid each other however she tested Positive this morning so we're both stuffed! It's 2020 all over again here and we're looking for online delivery shopping slots!
