COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

only 120k.... and I bet it's almost impossible to get evidence the vaccine caused whatever.

how many GPs are going to support you if you can see one etc

so you';d take a shot of ye olde AZ?

I'll take whatever I'm offered/given.

Proper sheeple, me.

It’s great when people’s only reply is a ‘haha’. I guess it’s really hard to accept issues with it if you have had it so better to try and convince yourself everything will be ok. And I genuinely hope it is.

not tested? the COVID vaccine(s) is (/are) one of the most tested vaccines in history now.
Now? After millions had it. It was issued with no real testing. That was the link to thialomide but people could work it out. Years later issues were found …

The fact they have a scheme says enough to me. Did not one notice how many football games have stopped recently due to heart attacks etc of fans ? Ah yes I’m a tin foil guy cause I have eyes

I suppose everyone has to do what they think best for them.

I had/have morbidities, so figured vaccinations were my best option.

And who was forced to be vaccinated?
No one was "forced", coerced may be a better word.

Chris Whitty, said that he had been personally sceptical about making covid vaccination a condition of employment for some healthcare workers.

And it wasn't just healthcare workers that had to make the decision to have the jab or be unemployed.
It's a pretty tough call tbh, and I know a few who did have it to go on holiday, which to me is insane, but who am I to question someone else decisions, their body, their choice.

It had a lot of testing before it was used.

It was being tested simultaniously in multiple countries.

I think anyone criticising you for making the best informed decision you can possibly make based on your morbidities is foolish and you should take no notice. People with issues such as yourself are exactly why the vaccines were so important and why lockdowns etc... were needed. I hope that you weren't too badly affected by covid on a health level and that you're not impacted by any longer term issues.

This is exactly why there's no "right" or "wrong" debate about this. For older people and people like you with issues the vaccine is a no-brainer in my opinion. People laughing or ridiculing others for feeling pressured into joining the narrative though is unfair, especially if there was little need for them to take it. The debate itself would be different if the vaccine itself significantly stopped the spread or if it had many more years of research behind it - but that in itself would have been impossible owing to the speed of the roll out.

All in all I think the vaccine *probably* did more good than harm - but to deny that it is also a contributor to issues is equally silly. One almost wishes you could relive your life and choose a different path to do the control experiment - but alas we are where we are.

Have I been negatively affected by covid physically/from a health perspective? No idea - I still don't know if I ever caught it. We all have certainly been affected by it from a career perspective, freedom perspective (albeit a short time), and mental health perspective.

Have I been negatively affected by the vaccine? Again no idea. I'm ailment free and in good shape for my age - but is that in spite of the vaccine or thanks to the vaccine - no one knows and no one can with any rationality, be sure either way. I had my 2 doses needed to go abroad (Pfizer - RIP), would I have gone into quarantine instead? God knows - it certainly made life a lot easier to travel.

Again people who don't hold the same narrative doesn't mean they're foolish, they just have a different lived experience, lambasting them or laughing at their statements just doesn't add any value really.

It would be good to see a comparison pre and post covid .
I bet no one would have thought there were 617 heart related deaths in 5 years as below, before covid.

The FIFA Sudden Death Report (FIFA-SDR), was carried out by Saarland University and published in 2020.[7] The report recorded worldwide deaths attributed to sudden cardiac arrest or other unexplained sudden death while playing (or shortly after playing) football during the period from 2014 to 2018. There were 617 cases during the five-year period. In the majority of cases where an autopsy was carried out, the cause of death was coronary heart disease.

Another pre covid report on concerns for footballers heart health.

You're getting laugh reacted because you're bringing up the same stupid points the antivax were using and were disproven years ago. Why would we waste our time debating the same crap that's been done to death in this thread already?

Easier to just laugh at people like you and move on. You'll always be stuck in your bubble of seething rage over this while the rest of us move on. Giving you a platform and breathing space is exactly how anti science/antivax sentiment has grown to alarming levels on platforms like Twitter, with dire consequences when it spills over into IRL. Back in the day people like you got shunned and mocked, and it is high time we brought that back TBH.

Don’t care. I’ve seen healthy people fall over after the vaccine. Don’t need to read about it or sit in a smelly bedroom arguing about stuff.

You guys live in a bubble. Don’t you have friend who have had unexplained blood clots. Family members who hid away had a vaccine then clots/red blood issues to make you question it all.

Don’t laugh at me. This is things that have impacted my life significantly. But sure sit behind that keyboard and hit that haha key.

The lack of empathy is amazing. It’s like playing Russian roulette and saying there’s no bullet as you didn’t get shot

Would love to meet you in real life and hear you say this to my face

Anyone who wanted to go out. Go on a plane. Stay in the military. Keep a job in NHS. Anymore examples ?

Yes I’m aware. Don’t patronise me. It’s was a financially driven scam. Randox made millions. Pharma made millions. Small business shut down for the big guys to mop up etc. then we had hyper inflation after the 0.1% base rates etc.
Again loads of laughs. No comments. You HAD to have a vaccine to keep a job in NHS.
