CPR W3 on Hairworks(Nvidia Game Works)-'the code of this feature cannot be optimized for AMD'

They do market the products though which is worth a lot of cash...

Yep and those free game codes, are paid for by AMD or Nvidia too. As is any help they get from them, which means they need to spend less on certain resources.

Free money= why they bother about doing anything reasonable for PC anymore.

Consoles= where most devs put priority on with the PC to mop up any additional sales.

Its not the case of PC FIRST and then console.

But I am sure people can just imagine the game will look like the pre-release videos last year, when it appears it won't.

People put down Crytek, and even now Crysis looks pretty good for a PC game which will soon be 9 years old.

All we have left is these increasingly stupid games between both companies.

We really need Intel to bitch slap both of them in graphics. TBH,they don't really care I suspect.

That's a crap stance, and is not the answer.

And the answer is?

I don't really care and found the thread to be funny in honesty. When nVidia allowed AMD to use their tech, the amount of topics/sites that stated nVidia was purposefully gimping AMD users, I would also stop something I developed being used by some ungrateful so and so's.

I lend a friend one of my tools and he does nothing but whinge and moan, I don't lend him my tools anymore.

AMD playing the victim again shocker!

Tough luck as far as I see it, Nvidia is the winner for getting HairWorks (and, by extension, GameWorks) into lots of games, AMD could very well have tried to get developers to adopt TressFX too but they obviously failed/couldn't be bothered.

Got to agree with Greg here.

Selling things has always been about making them desirable to people. If you can get yourself a killer app then you're laughing.

This isn't limited to PC gaming at all. Consoles *always* get certain games released for them that are not available anywhere else. What was that game called that the PS3 got? The last of us?

Back in the day if you wanted Mario you bought Nintendo. If you wanted Sonic you bought Sega. Honestly this thread is like people whining because Nintendo won't give Sega the rights to release Mario on their console !!

Mantle was all about AMD. Guess what? I bought a 7990 to see what it was like. If you want decent hair in Witcher 3 or decent Project Cars performance you're going to have to buy Nvidia.

The game has always been the same, even in console gaming.

To be fair, having a NV propitiatory tech even work at all when a AMD card is detected rather than formatting your C: and replacing your bootsector with woodscrews.jpg shows NV are moving (glacially) in the right direction.
