**** CRAZIEST PRE-ORDER SPECIAL EVER! MSI GTX 670 POWER EDITION ONLY £199.99 Inc. VAT!!!! *****

Do we think two of these be able to run BF4 max settings at 1920x1080? I'm still torn on a build i'm doing and Sli seems more stable the crossfire from a few posts I've read.

Was going to buy a gtx780 originally, also looked at dual 7950's.

How would two of these compare to the above?

I'd go for 2x7950s for BF4. Either that or two of these 670s would outperform a GTX 780 though.

About 3x performance increase.
GTX670 being "3x times performance increase" over the GTX560Ti?

Sorry, but you are totally pulling that out of thin-air. The GTX670 is only around roughly 70-90% faster than the GTX560Ti.

It is a good graphic card at sub-£200, but not to the point of being 4 times the grunt of the GTX560Ti.

Ordered! :D

Though stupidely i specified Tuesday the 6th as the delivery day not thinking that you might get them in actually earlier. Is there any chance of you getting them end of this week or will it definitely be next week?

Thanks for that Ian, Think I will stick with what I have at the moment then and wait until £200 gets me at least matching performance, At present Bf3 never dips below 60 with all ultra and msaa x4 @ 1080p, If i Had access to the MM then I would probably go for it as could get some money back that way, how much could I expect for unlocked 6950's?

One thing to note, i play at 1920x1200 with those settings, so 1080 would be a bit faster still.

Tempted to replace my xfx 7950 with one of these, My card is not a good over clocker compared to other 7950's out there. I have a feeling its not worth the hassle though? Missing physx a bit

Its not worth it unless you missing physx is worth it to you. FPS is about the same as your current card, although these cards are supposed to overclock nicely but that will only gain you 10fps max if your lucky.

Also depends what you can get for your 7950.

Ye thought as much, prob get about 170/180 for my 7950, I do love a good bargain though! :D

I wouldnt bother. The 600 series does perform better in some games though so if those games are the ones you play then it might be worth it.

Though an overclocked 7950 will be pretty evenly matched with this particular 670 i would have thought.

I've not upgraded my gfx card in over 2 years, I currently have a GTX 460 which I picked up from MM. This seems like a bargain but I'm going on holiday next week and I don't have £200 to blow on a gfx card but by all means you guys go crazy and if anyone wants to sell their current card which is a good upgrade from the GTX 460, let me know. ;)

Just had an amazing conversation with the wife, I mentioned about this offer and she has just spent the last 30 mins convincing me why it is actually a good idea and that I deserve it. completely flabbergasted I thought that I would have to try to convince her and it ended up with her convincing me. She even played the she smokes so that is like £400 since Christmas she has had so why shouldn't I get one.

End result bye bye noisy 470@800Mhz and hello shiny new MSI 670 oc power edition (well when it gets here anyway)

Will be a nice upgrade from a 470 bru, i replaced my 470's in sli with a single gigabyte wf 670. Minimum fps rose a good bit, maximums were slightly down but i didnt have to worry about vram limits anymore. Not too mention the massive drops in noise, heat and power consumption.

It is that massive drop in noise and heat that won it for me, as soon as I mentioned that it would be much quieter and not help heat the room the wife was saying so I wont need to keep turning up the telly then. From that point on it was her convincing me:D.

These are VERY nice cards. I bought one just after they came out. Almost tempted to get another and go SLI at this price.

I wrote a short review of the card here

Very nice in sli the 670's, if you have good board spacing and case airflow i say go for it. My top one does run a bit hot, (78c) but it's not dangerously high. Board spacing is good but my case is poor for air intake.

Wait a minute, The Wife has smoked £400 since christmas, That leaves you £200 spare...

Who said anything about £200 spare, I just said that my wife mentioned that she has had £20 a week for tobacco since Christmas which equates to about £400. (in fact that after working it out its nearer £600) so she thinks I deserve a £200 card.
