Creative = For Shame

I can only find Audigy Daniel K drivers, are you positive these are needed for X-Fi? What has Daniel fixed? I'm not using digital out, just 5.1 analogue outputs.

Even their speakers are shoddy, ive had 4x sets of them, and they all developed the same problem, volume switch buggering, after a while, when turning the volume up/down, it would knack up, would start to crackle and go low, had to bang the switch to get it to go right, after 4x sets doing exactly the same after a while, i said enough was enough, never touched em since either, i hope the ***** go outa business, go on Creative, please, **** right off as your useless. :D

I have bought Creative for years. I have an Audigy 4 Pro on Vista which seems fine, the only issue I have is no THX panel.

Do these drivers have that THX panel?

Kind of tempted to get a newer soundcard soon, any good cards with a little external unit as well? (I like having it on my desk to plug devices into)

Creative used to produce amazing gear better than anyone else. But the others have caught up now and are offering better solutions than Creative can. The bottom line is that Creative are old and incompetent now, and have become complaicent in cut throat market. :)

I think the only thing that makes people still buy the soundcards is the EAX technology. If that was open source then I think Creative would be out of it.

No it's marketing. How many people buy CL even though not interested in gaming and there are better sounding cards out there?

Lol well perhaps just for me it was EAX. Marketing had nothing to do with it. I play games and listen to music. So for me if I want the best gaming I kind of have to buy Creative.

I quite like the look of the Asus Xonar D2 but because it's stuck with EAX2.0 I don't know if I should get it or not. But I did read a review saying that they are hoping Vista will ditch EAX altogether..... who knows!
