Cricket World Cup thread

Well looks like india wont be able to bat out their full 50 overs, after a pretty good partnership beween Ganguly and Yuvraj, they have completely shot themselves in the foot.
But i would put my money on the indian bowlers to keep the bengalis in check...if not could be a big upset here.

Meanwhile looks like Pak will make 100 runs at least. Akmal is playing a pretty good innings but i dont see them lasting too long tbh. Too many silly wickets lost at the start have cost us this match and the chance to get through to the super 8's.
 
At 155/4 with 8overs left we looked like we could at least post a respectable total 210+ perhaps. What a great strech of play;

Mahmood out. This is unbelievable stuff. As for India, I think 180-185 is maximum if they last the 50 overs.

True india were pretty good chances to win the WC, but if they lose this then i dont expect them to panic...i see them getting to the super 8's quit easily. At this moment id rather put my money on India to reach the super 8's rather than Pak.

Pak definitely have some house cleaning to do. Thankfully that fat idiot of a captain we have Inzi will be gone...utterly useless as a captain and doesnt seem to care much about whether they win or lose. Fact of the matter is i dont think most of the players like him much, i know Ahktar has had a lot of problems with him because he places so much emphasis on religion rather than cricket. Most of the Pak players now sport taliban-esque beards...which i think is pretty sad and pathetic. Cricket isnt a game where religion should take precedence tbh...do that in your spare time when you aint playing cricket. Like i said the PCB are a bunch of village idiots with absolutely no clue on Pak cricket at the moment.

W00t \o/ Paks finally made 100 runs:p. But lost Mahmood in the process...hell at this rate we may not be able to bat out our 50 overs either lol:p
 
Oh well its more or less over for the Pak batting, couldnt even last the full 50 overs :mad:. How in gods name they have been out-played by the Irish is beyond me tbh. Can only hope and pray the Pak bowling destroys the Irish because this pitch seems to have quite a bit of spin on it so im looking forward to Hafeez doing some damage along with Malik but im not holding my breath though:p

Have to admit the Irish have been quite lucky, stupid and silly shots being played by the Paks have helped the Irish somewhat. Saying that though the Irish did help them to get 100 runs with 23 extras:p.

Mind you the pak fielding leaves a lot to be desired for and if anything i think that will cost them the match but lets hope they have been practising their fielding because they sure as hell havent been practising their batting:p.

Not a bad total from the Indians tbh, much better than the Paks. I think the Indian bowlers will do some damage though but whether or not they can get bowl the Bengali's out for less than 192 will remain to be seen...looks like its going to be a corker of a match.
 
Well the Pak tailenders are digging their heels in at the moment but i dont expect them to last long when Botha comes in to finish up his 10 overs...thats if the Irish decide to play him.

So far 120/8...which seems a half decent score considering not too long ago they could have been bowled out for less than a 100 runs:p.
 
Well Bangladesh have started their run chase, will be interesting to see how the Indians try and bowl them out.

The Paks innings are more or less finished...just got Sami out and its 130/9 so only a matter of time before the Irish have bowled the Paks out...am hoping they can last the full 50 overs tho:p.
 
Quite surprising that both tailenders for India and Pakistan are got/getting some runs together

Bangladesh 11-0 in 2 overs. Comfortable start for them.

60-1 for Bangladesh. I think its game over already. An 17 and 18 year old batting like they've been playing this game for years.
 
I've been at work all day, but I've been keeping upto date with the scores. Pakistan are a disgrace, scoring below 200 against a team like IRELAND is an embarressment and some massive changes need to be made within the Pakistan cricket team. I hope they get stoned when they arrive back in Pakistan :mad: :mad: :mad:

Also, come on Bangladesh!
 
Well Sami has taken 2 wickets, good return for him. Hopefully we can bowl the Irish out sooner rather than later

edit: they should have had a 6 for that imo, looked like it bounced on the rope, only given 4 though.

All I can say is WTF?

Go on the Ireland, got to cheer on the underdogs, and bangladesh pulling out all the stops, gonna be an interesting group stage if these results come through.
 
LOL @ that decision, absolute shocker by the umpire there, his bat was miles away from the ball but Ireland lose another wicket! Don't think it makes much difference anyway tbh.
