Agree cant be asked to read the rules should not be allowed near the MM anyway

PS ebay is much safer then MM :D

:D:p

1000 is fine, it's a decent enough post count for the user to have established themselves (without spamming) within this community, it's also high enough to hopefully ward off potential scammers who will hopefully go elsewhere to forums where board owners don't invest as much time and attention protecting their user base

win win

well said!

Wow, this is ****.

I don't have much to say on the forums and even having spent near thousands in the store, I'm punished more so by some troglodyte scammer having his way with naive punters.

I've got a lot of crap from before my upgrade to sell, but now it looks like I'll take my custom to eBay instead.

LOL unreal....

I guess, and as long as existing members aren't affected (wise decision), then it's all good either way.

Spam post here for an extra post number :D

Sounds good Joe, far too many scammers these days, plus this has reminded me to sell all my old S775 rig bits!

I think instead of requiring 1000 posts. Those who reach 250 posts should submit a scan of their ID (passport/driving licence) to the MM mods to gain access.

They'd be far less inclined to go about scamming if they knew those records were on file.

I'm not saying any of the current mods are dodgy, but if we did get a dodgy one, then there may be an issue

Also pointless, no easy way to verify they own that ID and as the forum is opened by the shop, data protection.

Generally just a bad idea form the logistics side.

Give your passport details to some random who you don't know and have never seen? Ok.

People do it all the time when applying for jobs, verifying details on gambling sites, renting cars, etc.

What's your point.

If anything the MM should be open to users with any post count to buy items, because they can hardly operate a scam if they are buying.
