Criteria for MM access has changed.

I love how all the low post count users are all coming out of the woodwork. :p

Don't be scared y'all, engage with us!

I managed to get too many posts without even thinking about it. I just post guff to people and they reply and it snowballs. Easy peasy.

Why would it be, you only post every four days, it's not like you ever intended to use or abuse the MM is it?

Explain to me what my post count has to do with my honesty and integrity when it comes to buying or selling items on a forum.

I agree that on a forum it is difficult to tell, but past a certain point, post count is meaningless, and I actually think 250 is a pretty reasonable figure. 500 would have been a fair compromise though IMO.

In reality someone with a high post count is probably someone young and with few responsibilities, both in the workplace and at home. Either that or they are neglecting other areas of their life in order to post rubbish on an internet forum.

It's fool's logic and pretty insulting really.

I think one post every four days is pretty reasonable actually for someone who doesn't want to dedicate their life to an internet forum.

Whether or not I would use the MM is irrelevant and something that you can't even speculate on because I don't even have the choice at the moment, and it doesn't look like I will have for a long time.

Who the hell are all these people posting on this thread all of a sudden.

The simple fact remains, if you had actually wanted MM access (even though some of you claim you do not, but are still complaining), you would have hit the previous criteria a long time ago. You don't have to post 'crap', just get involved in the discussion. I assume you are all into PC's and stuff anyway?. 250 posts is not hard. The fact that it has changed and now you complain, just seems a little whiny to me. Sorry.

Good idea, been a few suspect posts recently.

Although I have access, and have used MM a fair bit, I would be happy with this move, when I first joined I was shocked at how little I needed to post to gain access, a couple posts whilst the kettle boils here, a GD thread there.

1000 posts requires serious contribution.

I've never quite understood the need to have such randomly number based rules, I don't understand how someone with 1,000 posts is somehow more reliable than 800.

The way I see things, if you buy from someone on the internet in a forum you take a chance and don't buy anything which you're not afraid to loose out on. If you want security, and be covered by laws then buy from a reputable shop.

Either way, I'm 400 posts so best not trust me....
