Criteria for MM access has changed.

Seems some people's vaginas got a little bit sandy in regards to my comment.

Allow me to go on, what irritated me was that I am not someone who registers, farms Motors for post count then rips off people in the MM.

I've been around, I've spent my money, I care about the Oc community where I'd have done my best, regardless of the time it took me to acquire 250 posts, to be a good seller.

But now, over-the-top complaining aside, that'll never happen, and I'm not loving the change.

People do it all the time when applying for jobs, verifying details on gambling sites, renting cars, etc.

What's your point.

My point is that the MM is nothing of the sort from the examples you described, as it is separate from the shop, the MM Dons are private individuals, and there is no legal or business reason for submitting any documents. The fact I had to explain that is worrying.

But at the rate of your posting it'd have taken 7.36 years to get access to the members market anyway. Surely you can see you're in the minority and most posters would get up to 250 posts with relative ease, hence the changes. This change doesn't affect you in any way until 2019 :p

If anything the MM should be open to users with any post count to buy items, because they can hardly operate a scam if they are buying.

In my experience, some of the most prolific scammers are buyers.
Pray tell...........................why can't a buyer be a scammer ?

The fact I had to explain that is worrying.

 My thought as well.

The fact you think submitting a scan of a passport/driving licence to a delegated mod on here will lead to some massive outbreak of identity fraud is more worrying to be honest.

The MM rules state you should learn the address/phone number of people you're dealing with, along with bank details? Sufficient enough to commit identity fraud some would argue. So where do you draw the line.

Why not get involved in discussions more then? It's not exactly difficult to rack up posts as long as you're contributing genuine stuff and not 'lol' or '+1'.

Post more then, you'll rack up 1000 posts in no time at all. You have no right to complain, if you don't like it - tough.

How does a buyer scam you when you accept money via bank transfer from which there's no recourse?

Pray tell.

Wow, this is ****.

I don't have much to say on the forums and even having spent near thousands in the store, I'm punished more so by some troglodyte scammer having his way with naive punters.

I've got a lot of crap from before my upgrade to sell, but now it looks like I'll take my custom to eBay instead.

you joined in sept 2009 and you have 62 posts, what a great contributor to the forums.

Good idea, it's always a shame when a few ruin it for the majority. So hopefully this will be a deterrent. Gotta say that ive been using the mm for quite a while now, and it has been nothing but positive for me.

By claiming the item is DOA, or didn't arrive at all, or claiming it is damaged.......................do you want me to go on further ?

So? The seller is not obligated to pay out if he thinks the circumstances are suspicious. This isn't PayPal.

By restricting the number of people who can buy in MM, you only hurt the sellers.
