Crucial Anniversary: The results

Yep worked fine at about 2.25V, going to see how far it goes with these timings.

Jokester

I'm not sure he was in the wrong thread - but I do think it should still have been deleted because if you read it the way I read it ie. as a parable about people learning to accept someone doing something unpleasant to them - in this case equating stores creating monopolies in highly desireable memory and then putting the prices up then the poster basically compared Spie and Gibbo to Paedophile Priests, which is out of order, I'm sure you'll agree. Either that or he was out of his head on something and just posting randomly. Either way, it should have been deleted.

Nice One Jokester!

Do you feel that that memtest app is up for the job of rOOting out 'possible' errors?

Any Orthos 'or' 8MB Super-Pi action going on?

Still didn't get CD2 system up yet, but am enjoying looking at peoples results.

if u have time can u make a summary of your various results pls :)

I can't play at the mo and was knocking on 3.6ghz,my 18 month old 600w enermax noisetaker blew up today, didn't smell good at all :( . Thankfully i had new psu around for a pc im building for a friend with my old amd parts and everything works fine, was worried for a moment though, hopefully enermax's customer service will live upto its pretty good reputation, im hoping they will give me a modular psu :D

how is a couple of koolance RAM water cooling modules? :D

My first set leaked. So did the second. The third time the guy in the store fitted them. They still leaked. The plastic bag that expands around the chips concept is great, but if the memory chips are just a bit too tall, these things tear very easily.

Its things like this that put me off water cooling, im sure i would have no problem building it all. I just dont think i could relax witht hat much liquid in there. Maybe one day :)

What is the "Max Voltage" covered by the warranty on these chips? as they dont state a voltage on them and i cant find the page for them anymore on the crucial website (link if its still there please :))

the OCUK "blurb" says 2.2-2.3 until you click on the link to take you to the actual page and then it just says 2.2

yes be very carefull what OcUK website says!

they have the ATI Crossfire OCZ PC6400 as 4-4-4-12 yet OCZ's website says 4-4-4-15!

To err on the side of caution always go by the manufacturers information, at the end of the day their the ones giving the warranty!

yeah i heard that happens, but its apparently the installation that damages them, as soon as there on and 'not' leaking they should be fine, and the bag is great idea though a traditional block might have been preferred, i seen some individual ram module blocks, but imagine how many small pipes you would have

New psu arrived so back up and running currently stressing 9x375 3-3-3-10, i want to see how far these modules go running 3-3-3. Been going for 30mins so far looks good, usually falls over by now if its "wobbly" :D
