Crucial M4 010G firmware update

Has anyone had BOOTMGR error and the drive disappears from the bios untill a restart?

Never had this before new FW.

I had this problem while using PC On desktop, very odd?

Does anyone know how to flash back to the previous firmware 0309 ?

Cant find 0309 FW anywhere to dl and flash back.

EDIT:

Managed to find 0309 and flash back, not sure why im having issues with the SSD not being recognized and stop responding.

I guess, if you havent any problems with current firmware's you are using on devices, not to install any new FW's unless really necessary, so my fault i was experiencing issues i guess

Bit silly Crucial haven't go the option to roll back to previous FW's or even have previous FW's to dl on there site, oh well, all sorted now anyhow :)

Tried to install the update on my old x38 motherboard and it gave an error message, though booted back into Windows OK. This was on the old 009 pre 5000? hours fix firmware.

Fresh install on the new z77 motherboard and all is fine. Updated without the error.

Well, I've just been hit by the 010G bug, the drive completely disappeared from the boot scan, had to power cycle it to get it back.
Have downgraded it to 000F and all is well again (and the speeds have jumped back up a touch).

That'll teach me for procrastinating on the firmware downgrade.

[edit]FYI: to get a dead Crucial drive back:

1)Switch off, unplug SATA lead to SSD and leave power lead in.
2)Switch on, go into BIOS and leave it alone for 20 minutes.
3)Switch off, unplug power lead for 30 seconds, reconnect only power lead.
4)Switch on, go into BIOS and leave for 20 minutes again.
5)Switch off, reconnect SATA lead.

Now when you switch back on the drive should have recovered and you can flash to a more stable firmware.
