He lives not fr from me (and no I wasn't the guy!!) it's scary how close to the truth you actually are!
The controller response, especially when jumping and sprinting, is way off. Considering they've obviously worked quite hard on both of those elements being integral to gameplay, it's inexcusable.
The map isn't that great either. Not terrible, but I'm hoping it's one of the weaker ones in the game, otherwise I may just give multiplayer a miss entirely.
As much as I love the Crysis franchise and will always defend it against it's critics, if the multiplayer in this game isn't as good as Call of Duty or Battlefield, I simply won't be playing it. The impressions from this demo are that it's some way behind, though I'll have to wait for release.

From the vids it looks top tier graphics for a console, not the best but still one of the best looking console games. Those with silver free weekend starting Jan 28th, not seen anywhere say its US only so should be fine for us.

The map is quite poorly designed, it's far too big and all the fighting seems to be concentrated in the greenhouse areas, rarely in the office interior.

all im going to say is that this better look and play considerably better on the pc then it does on my 360.
downloaded and played this last night, my word what have they done to Crysis! gameplay wise its 'alright' I would say, though that person above is right, everyone seems to gang in the greenhouses for some reason! killing seems either A) really really simple or B) really difficult, theres no middle ground for some reason, controls feel far too light for a Crysis game, always thought it was more 'sturdy' than the twitchy games like Call of Duty, etc.
what the hell have happened to the beautiful graphics of Cryengine? sorry to say this, being a big fan of Crytek and all but it is a complete let down in that deparment. find myself wondering whats happened, Killzone II on the PS3 still walks all over this in terms of graphics (not bulling either), the level just seems to jaggy, the distant surroundings seem really really bland and lack detail. so unfortunately this is coming to my PC, not my xbox 360, and my FPS graphics king on console is still Killzone II.

seen this today in a mates house and thought it was good didnt play it the graphics were ok for a console hope the pc one is better if its not it will kill the crysis franchise for me and i love the orignal and warhead btw.....

Is there anyway you can download content from the marketplace on your PC then write to disc?
Reason I ask is the connection at work is insane and my connection at home feels like its from the 90's due to bad copper wiring..... (0.1k download anybody???)

cant believe people are criticising the graphics on this game. absolutely ridiculous.
Because they are nothing special, looks like COD to me.
Hardly a proper sequel to Crysis from what we've seen so far. The PC version best be one hell of an improvement...

The graphics are terrible
the streaming in of the textures from there VPF is very slow.
As your map loads when your on the wait screen you can see the walls change as the textures for them are streamed in !
change weapon from main gun to pistol the pistol comes out looking like something out of goldeney. Then as the texture streams in you can see it change.
The dark rooms are also terrible way too dark you cant see anything.

I unlocked that. It behaves like the one on Halo Reach.
I'm not impressed at all by the graphics... a bit drab in my books. The Xbox is really showing it age me recons! Killzone and Drakes Uncharted smash it out of the park... (please god... may the PC version be ok)
