Crysis 3 official, release date is 2013

I hope they give the PC version more attention...
If this accurately does the sandbox this time, it'll at least be worth playing for a while.

I am worried they're limiting the graphics capability that COULD be pushed, just so it fits console gaming. Wish it came back to its true roots in PC Gaming and made it for the PC first and then ported it to console second.
 
There is no way they will give the PC version more attention (especially after seeing this comment), maybe release a patch with DX 11 etc. like 6 months later :rolleyes:

Such a shame they have gone down that road regarding the PC :(

Oh I didn't see that... SIGH. I definitely won't buy it at full price.. saddens me.

This comment has been disproved already in this thread.
The only level i hated in the original crysis was the VTOL bit, and that was only because it was so random whether you crashed or got through it. Broke the immersion for me.
But i loved the aliens in general, more than the crysis 2 aliens (though i still like the crysis 2 ones).
 
If its Origin exclusive then its gonna flop on the PC market big time, and then they'll blame piracy and whatnot. :rolleyes:

As a game it looks fantastic, though! Props to EA, as much as I hate them they do kind of own the two best gaming engines; Frostbite and Cryengine!

you must be one of the few then, because for me CRYSIS 1 failed as soon as you entered the mountain.....

but in Crysis 3 they look more humanoid, i didn't bother with CRYSIS 2 so i cant comment about that game, but as said this 3rd game looks more like FAR CRY and that's good enough for me
 
Of course Crysis 2 isn't as good as the first, but I don't get the extreme hate for it. It not like there can only be two opinions of it, either as good as Crysis 1, or complete crap. There is a middle ground where it isn't bad, but not as good as it could have been.

I'm mildly looking forward to Crysis 3, although I probably won't pick it up new.

Don't worry, its always cool to express extremely polarised views on the internet or jump on bandwagons, happens with virtually every game, good or bad.

For the typical forum poster, anything in a game that causes even the slightest bit of butthurt, will automatically make that game the biggest piece of crap in gaming history.

BF3 is a prime example of this.

Yeah Crysis 3 is set 20 years after Crysis 2 which was set 3 years after Crysis 1. So we are seeing Psycho 23 years after the events of the original game. If psycho was in his late 20s, early 30s in the original game, he must be in his late 40s/ early 50s now lol :p

yes true, but with BF3 there are genuine reasons to hate the game, i.e it is far too much like COD, you are a generic squaddie nothing more

this doesn't matter because the suit does all the physical work for you, dont forget the guy in the 2nd game was even worst........ he was a dead man walking :D... he looks about 30 when young and about 53 now !!!!.......but Prophet would've been even older

ok so in the vid Psycho is an advisor/ sniper scout type of guy, video looks great, i'm really looking forward to this game, especially the semi FAR CRY feel of it

They weren't just suits.
The story's a mess anyways due to Crysis 2, but from what I recall Prophets suit was different, which is why Nomad And Pyscho were "Dead men walking" and they couldn't live without them/couldn't be removed.

They probably ignored that snippet, like the whole of Crysis 1's story.
