Crysis 3 performance

With all this talk of Crysis 3 putting increased stress on the CPU, im interested to know if there is a vast difference between the 3570k and the 3770k in this title.

I noticed a difference in battlefield 3 when i moved from a 2500k to a 2700k. But i wouldn't call it vast.

Its like the difference between a 2500K and a 2600K. (look at the slides again)

Its a properly threaded game, your better off with the 3770K, but i would think the 3570K is perfectly adequate for a normal GPU, this was tested on a GTX 690.

Seeing some of those screenshots makes me want to get this and see how I get on with my 480's.

I laughed when I watched the MP videos on Youtube "cloak engaged, cloak engaged, cloak engaged, cloak engaged"

Sorry I'm a bit stupid when it comes to hyper-threading... am I right in saying Hyper threading is actually hurting the game?

It doesn't hurt games per sae but the problem with ht is it can lower the boost clock for less threaded software like games as ht even when idle is still push the CPU closer to its TDP limit.

With AA *off*, what sort of settings are going to be achievable with a 7850?

(I always turn AA off unless it's free AA :p )

oops meant to say 1080p

I'm guessing this will gobble up the vram like crysis 2 did, chomping it's way through my 2GB no problem, now i wish i had a 3gb card:(

In the beta with AA off i was running with everything on high on my 7850 and it was playing nice and smooth.
Seems though now it's in final that single player is a real hog on systems so i wont know until i buy it.

Where does the good old i7-920 come into these CPU charts? I've had mine for years now but never saw it worth upgrading. Other than the 450 quid 6 cores is it worth bothering? It runs at 4.2ghz...

i7 930, slap bang in the middle, about the same as my x6 1090T

Good thing I ditched my Core i3 2100 a while back. Crysis3 shows how weak they will be with new engines,so I still don't understand why people think are fantastic?? People were having a go at me for recommending a FX6300 over a Core i3,despite me having had experience with both in newer games.

The FX6300 is even matching a Core i5 too.
