I've got the same problem, I acidently put it in the vault and after realised it was the .exe file. I tried restoring it and it still doesnt work i just keep getting AVG popping up all the time

My friend has had the same problem too and when he tried to restore the same thing happens and even when he ignores all the messages the game wont run. I also noticed it had put a 2142 file in the vault, does AVG have a problem with EA!!

Doesnt anyone konw how to sort it without reinstalling the game?

Yeah i had the same problem as well, it must have happened after AVG updated its virus list, anyway just uninstalled it and wont install again until they bring out a new build of the beta.

i only got it instaled last night and was on an early shift so only played for a lil while.

I have it dual boot with vista too so I might go in and turn AVG off to see if I can play it that way.

its an unoptimized beta full of debug code, therefor it runs very poorly.

I tried to reinstall but this didn’t work. I would wait and see if anything appears on the Crysis beta forums as i would imagine tons of people have AVG and probably are getting the same problem

how do you create a login for the beta to get online, someone I know gave me a key and his fp account details so I could login but he's changed his password now so I cant get on it anymore.

Same problem here with AVG :mad:

Even turning the damn thing off wont let the game install. The exe just makes it hang. Opening up the install folder and trying to open the properties of the crysis.exe file just hangs explorer.

Uninstall avg , install Avast
