Crysis - 'Ultra High' System Requirements

Yeah guys I think Cevat (the OWNER and maker of Crytek) knows a teensy weeny bit more about how well his game will run than you do

Yer its multi thread. Its in the recomended specs for a dual core.

it may say dual core but so do a lot of new games but in reality its aload of bull. i've a amd 3700 and bought many games which recommend dual core, but they've played perfectly fine.

developers and hardware manufacturers are obviously bigging each other up so we go out and by the best components costing a small fortune just to have an extra shadow here and there, and no matter what we buy its only ever the best for a few weeks anyway.

Don't forget though...

Even though everyone is happy with these specs at the moment, they did state that they would unlock or perhaps add additional options which would cause current systems to just crawl... so yeah "ultra" may sound fine, but I don't think it'll be as clear and easy as that. ;)

But surely you can't compare the two? Crysis is so much more complex isn't it... plus DX10, so I'd say they could easily add new things to improve IQ etc.

well the answer is quite simple really you wont be playing the highest settings with current hardware fact .look at all the big and i mean big releases of the past and youll see that the games im talking about like fear doom3 and oblivion couldnt be played at very highest settings with the hardware available. crysis will be the same maybe 6 months or a year before you can max it out at highest res with everything on.
look at fear when that came out people with 2000 quid systems couldnt run it highest res and get 60fps.it will just be the same.before anyone says you only need 30 fps yes maybe for single player but multiplayer play with 30 fps and youlll get owned .
