CS:GO Discussion

I've been playing tonite.

The game deals different from when I played cs:s. I could tell when I hit someone and they were going to die but I can't now.

What I think is a headshot isn't and I end up dieing. cos I've stopped shooting.


No silencer on colt. What's that all about.

And no cs_assault.

I hope it's coming in the full game.

Had a quick half hour there, thought I'd give it a go as I put years in CSS.

I would hardly consider the graphics an improvement on the maps I tried. Still I'll give it a few tries.

I kept right clicking for iron sights :(. Will have to get used to playing without them again!
 
I like how the game looks, and how it feels in parts, but I really don't think the recoil and bullet spread works. I'll be stood there shooting someone, with absolutely no idea where my bullets are going or even if they are hitting. I noticed, there are less 'sprayers' in this now, as it actually requires you to aim a bit more, and take your time. However, I'm not feeling the same satisfaction with playing, as I do in previous CS versions. Right now, I'd take CSS over this, and I'm not keen on CSS that much either...

They need to sort out the recoil, bullet spread, and how the guns recoil themselves when firing. I'll continue to play, but I hope they sort these parts of the game out, otherwise I see no point - there are better games to played. And this is from someone who really wants CS:GO to succeed.:(
 
Played a couple of hours so far. Main negative comment from me so far is the gun sounds, they are awful! PLus the death sounds.. the splat noise... urgh.. gonna get tired of that.

Otherwise I quite like it. Can't get used to recoil though. CSS definitely feels a lot smoother to me. Next step will be to sort my cfg out, then I'll be rockin!

editing your config is hardly going to make a massive difference only a minimal one.
 
Even though I bashed the game earlier in my old posts, after playing css I can say it's growing on me.

I'm not going to pre order though will wait to see some videos of the final build.
 
Depends on server tickrate.

128/128 on 128 tickrate and 64/64 on 64 tickrate servers. My rate is 55000, may lower it some more until i get some choke.

I've heard that you can't let your frames go below the cmdrate so i usually stick to 64 tick servers so i can limit my frames to 66 and have a quiet computer!

interp 0.0167 and interpratio 1.

A brand new CS and you still have to mess around with stupid crap like this? :confused:
