If you played other FPS before that helps a lot, I think we've salvaged a few lost souls from COD for example

How many kills from your other games, upto 10 games won it should keep upping the stakes till you struggle a bit more

The match today I was 20-6. I've never played CS before but I've always played FPS, BF & the earlier COD's.

I may have uninstalled CSGO a couple of times while learning! but it's very rewarding once it starts coming together.

I'm sure you've had some practice getting to level 3, but 40 kills is awesome.

Yea, you have to play for a while to reach rank 3 then you can play competitive matches.

MVP stuff is a little weird sometimes - just had a round on T on Inferno where we rushed banana and I killed both of them and then killed 2 more CT's and the other one saved. The bomb planter got the MVP?! Haha!

MVPs are not entirely based on kills .... you get an MVP for a successful bomb plant/explosion as T or if you defuse the bomb as CT.

@Muska, That's really good considering the bad habits you probably have from BF and COD, I played CS since I was like 7-8. I had lots of breaks in between that time though, I only really started playing it more seriously with a team of 5 when I was around 14-15. The good old times in 1.5 and 1.6 ^.^

Now I spend more time in fixing CS:GO than actually playing it lol, when I setup up 1.6 that was it. No tweaking, nothing...

Finally got my 10 Competitive wins. Ranked in at MG1. I'm quite happy with that considering the last time I played CS was....maybe 10 years ago?

Ahh, you get it for a bomb explosion as well as a plant? That's probably why - always assumed you only got the points for the plant for some reason haha!

Well, if the bomb doesnt explode after planting then that means the CT's have won the round, at which point you wouldnt get the MVP anyway

Not if you eliminate all the CT's before the bomb has a chance to explode.

The less said about the overpass match last night the better. Lets just say I went full retard and then enjoyed some time off.

I really suck at this...
TBH I don't like the way as a noob you are forced into matches with top ranks that just use the awp mainly.

I tried deathmatch and that is a joke so usually play casual.
I'm not quitting though, I will work through and get the mouse set up right for me etc...

Also, could someone tell me how to mute others as I am sick to death of idiots playing stupid really loud songs etc...

Yes I am having a moan but I would like to have a game of this with roughly equal players and not have to put up with annoying idiots.

In scoreboard you can right click each player and block them or you can just disable everyones voices with voice_enable 0. Or set a bind to that so you can toggle on and off.
As a noob join forces with people on here if you can. You will have to play a few MM matches for the system to figure out how good you are and match you correctly.
If people are awping buy lots of utility and throw smoke grenades and flash bangs to get close to them.
