CS:GO Discussion

I really suck at this...
TBH I don't like the way as a noob you are forced into matches with top ranks that just use the awp mainly.

I tried deathmatch and that is a joke so usually play casual.
I'm not quitting though, I will work through and get the mouse set up right for me etc...

Also, could someone tell me how to mute others as I am sick to death of idiots playing stupid really loud songs etc...

Yes I am having a moan but I would like to have a game of this with roughly equal players and not have to put up with annoying idiots.

MM should put you against people of your rank unless your doing placement matches, yes you'll run into smurfs and / or hackers but we all do.

Casual is just against anyone so you'll get all ranks.

Pull the scoreboard up and right click the person you want to mute and click block comms.

My mate just started playing CS. He was quite good at LoL, and waaaaaay back he used to play CoD 2. His FPS skills aren't the greatest (will probably start at silver/low gold once he gets his rank) but he started playing. 10 hours in, he got 3900XP and he nearly got bored of the game. It's either casual where he dies after a few seconds, or death match where he gets very few kills (and thus very few XP). Hopped on his account to boost him up a bit. Got like 1200 XP (probably more) in about 1 hour of play.

The limits are too high. People want to jump in Matchmaking where they face people of equal skill. DM and casual are not fun and they teach you nothing except aim.

I am as streaky as hell when it comes to this game. Some times I am on point, sometimes I can just get by and other times I am straight up ****..

Must be confidence related right?

Everyone's like that most days :)

Some days I can't aim and others I'll top frag.

Happens even in pro games as well. People just either seem to switch on and play amazing suddenly, or off and just stop being able to hit a thing.

If anyone fancies a game feel free to add me on steam through my sig. I'll be around a fair bit for the next 6 weeks as I'm off with a broken toe!

You're probably relying on your aim too much, proper movement and positioning will make you more consistent and allow for easier frags.

i also think that when you get better, you raise your lowest and highest level as well.
i feel like you have to know when you're not on point, and try to speak to your team. I did this last week, when i told my team, "guys, i am worst than a bot, but point me to a direction/spot and i'll do my best". Dropped guns, played more support like ( famas + full nades instead of m4a4 and maybe 1 nade). We ended up winning because some1 else stepped up.
In the end it's still a team game, you sometimes get a smurf / hacker but those are the out-liners, you don't have to drop 30+ every match.

bind "l" "toggle voice_enable"

Enter that in console or have it you config to save time typing it.
Also voice_scale 0.1 in console would make them barely audible. CSGO actually made it much easier to mute people vs earlier cs versions.

Regardless of rank I dont mind playing demolition or whatever if people want someone on the same team for 10 15 mins, comp takes more patience or time at least

CLG lost cache 16-3 to a team a tier below them, then the next day win Cache vs Cloud 9.

Well done!

Ended up as a decent game for me after going 0-4 at the start! I'm not great with an AK yet, if my first 2 shots don't take them down it can get a bit messy. Looking at the rank I was playing against is that where I should expect to land after 10 wins? On a 20 hour cool down now :(

If you're raking in a thirty bomb with lots of MVPs vs Novas your next match should be against higher ranks. If you keep fragging and scoring well it will keep adjusting the skill level of your opponents until it finds out where you plateau/struggle and that's what group you'll be assigned.

How many wins are you on now (out of how many, ish)?

Had good fun deranking with Raider last night, noscope scout+deag is OP on overpass, and bizon rushing A apps/quad on Inferno is surprisingly effective.
