CS:GO Discussion

I most certainly would not attribute Fnatics recent slump to Pronax's form (or lack of), Fnatics issues were more to do with Olof cooling down and not posting such huge numbers every game and often putting in shocking performances, JW being massively erratic in his efforts (he has been really hit and miss for a long time now) out of them all Flusha and Krimz have been the only ones performing solidly.

I'd say these two primary factors (Olof and JW slumping) lead to the downward spiral which further contributed to a massive lack of confidence going into the major.

Mixing up the calling didn't work, mixing up the game play didn't and thus the easiest thing was this roster change.

TLDR Olof, JW and Pronax not being on form, change is good to freshen things up!

^Yup, pronax's value was always in reading the opposition and mid round decision making. His contribution to fragging was never really a factor during their dominance.

I think dennis going there is a really good move. Both him and flusha can call, also dennis can take some awping responsibility when required from JW, especially on maps which demand a bit more discipline with it.

I always thought dennis would end up in a lineup with forest and get right, be interesting to see how that plays out.

Anyone fancy a game tonight with a couple of gold nova master players? we're fed up with the annoying kids on mic, we both use voice comms and have our own vent server

I'd be happy to join you, but can't make this evening, just add me through my sig. I haven't ever used ventrillo but I have a team speak

Bought a new PC and I'm getting very unstable FPS. Specs are:

i5 4960k @ 4.2ghz
GTX 960
8gb memory

Previous PC was an old i7 with a 550 Ti so this should be much better.

I play 1024x748 and generally low settings across the board. I've no idea what causing it but it's dropping from 300fps to 140ish fairly frequently. My old PC felt more stable which is massively annoying!

Any ideas?

make sure all power cables for the 960 are connected securely.

what drivers are you using and what OS?

try updating to the latest drivers or trying older drivers.

did you remove your old drivers and then install new ones when you put in the 960?

what I would do is run DDU (as lot of people seem to use this here) and then re download the latest NVidia drivers to install again, if it still has issues try the drivers before the latest ones and try again

Reddit fixes
I bought it on release but didn't like but went back a few months ago and massive change. Now pretty addicted

I didnt buy till it was on offer for 2 quid but I tried a few of the free weekends on first release and I saw no reason to buy when I already had source. Im pretty sure it was worse, source beta was great you could climb on or move around tables, blockade doors and all sorts but the pro scene wanted 'clean' maps so no exploding barrels :( dont remember anything good with new csgo except gun games which source had as well and you could queue dust seperate for DM. They have built on original CSGO quite a bit now I think
