I've watched most the matches the last couple of days, I though Fnatic would win but it was still a good final. The way these guys all at is just inhuman at times!

always get a load of hackers when csgo goes on sale, play as normal and just report them all but then again once banned that match doesn't count so you may as well not play lol
 
Finally got round to getting this and it's so refreshing to play, exactly the same mechanics as it was back in the day for the original CS only better!
I slipped back into it without any problems and I can still play pretty good surprisingly!

If you only play for the rank then yeah, I play it mostly out of boredom or with my friends. I've GE, but that's from solo queueing, if I was desprate I would only play 5 pre-made. But its not about the rank, its only a game in the end.

Yyy... nope. It only has better looking graphics inc. skins. The amount of times I had to tweak CS is ridicilous, a game that's 15 years old ran better than this... Although after 6 years when CS:GO came out they did an update and destroyed it. That's why I've a non-steam version of CS before the update, tried many fixes. But the game just doesn't feel like it use to...

I've spent probably around 3500 hours in 1.6 and 200-300 in 1.5. After the update that was rolled out on 2011 or 2012 I only played it for 20 hours maybe? Mostly trying to get the game back to its original state before the update... The mouse felt as sluggish, as it is in CS:GO now. The same goes for 'm_rawinput' command which doesn't work, but thanks to the devs we have RINput. :cool:

I've been having some great games lately. Got myself up to MG1 now. I only solo queue so it's so satisfying when you get a good communicative team and the opposite team pose a challenge. Had some nice close games which exposed my weaknesses so I've been able to get a better handle on myself and play smarter.

I do have an over aiming problem. Just working on my mouse settings for more control and running around deathmatches before I do more matchmaking.

Going to guess like 15 months old for that screenshot


There was a group that swore never to play post 1.0 CS because it was too nerfed for the retail players, had their own servers up. I think csgo is very standardised vs all the old CS settings, I mostly prefer it now or seems less hassle. I never exactly got a handle of the movement of hitboxes, thats why I played source immediately

The netcode was improved vastly at one point (1.6 also) and I think csgo is extremely nice when lining up your shots vs server reg now compared to original cs (it errs on the side of shooters vision at that point more imo)

Does anyone else watch the By The Numbers cast with Thorin and Richard Lewis?

I only found it recently and some of it has had me in stitches. It's nice to listen to some people speak seriously about the game and going-on behind the scenes.
 
Hi all im having some problems with CS - Counter-Strike Global Offensive

i load it up click on the play option,
Click Find a Game
Click on the Active Duty Group or the other one in the Common map packs,

then theres a box in the middle saying "failed too retrive items from your inventory" and another loading/ server finding box in the top left that just keeps counting up,

ive left it on for upto 75mins before looking for a game but nothing?

what am i doing wrong? is there some option that i need too register or login somewhere? ive downloaded CS from Steam and the only times i play im logged into steam automatically.

help? :)

do you have any firewall software installed which could be blocking connections to the mm servers?

apart from what you have done nothing else needs doing.

Hey All, i have posted this under the GPU section but not getting many replies to help with the issue so thought i would try here.

i got a 390 last week on the back Friday sales.

i noticed the fps dropping quite low to 120 - 150 fps which i thought was not normal so i installed MSI after burner and can see that the GPU usage is low and the core speed sits around 500 to 800mhz but the default clock speed is 1040mhz.

i get the same issue is minecraft which sits between 300 and 500mhz. i have put back in my old card Radeon HD 5830 and GPU usage is sitting at 95%+ and doesnt drop at all and a consistent 800mhz core clock.

i have done the following

- Ran DDU and removed old drivers and installed new ones
- Formatted PC and re installed OS (tried W10 and 8.1 had the above issue on both)
- running latest AMD Drivers
- reset bios to defaults
- temps are fine on CPU and GPU

now if i run firestrike from 3D mark Demo software this gives me 100% gpu usage and core never drops below 1040mhz

does anyone have any ideas of what the issue is?

PC spec is a I7 950 @ 4.2ghz
6GB of ram
samsung 850 evo 250GB

uncap your fps, set it to fps_max 0
Set +20% power in catalyst overdrive

all else fails, buy an Nvidia card instead :-p :D (ps. i used to be an AMD guy but had a lot of freezing issues, switched to nvidia and didnt have any issues, that and i was kind of forced to as the case i won is Nvidia branded - kind of)
 
my max_fps is set to 300

i have tried with 10% and made no difference so i will try and up it a bit more.

my budget was £220 and i did have a 970 but returned it because of the vram issues with them and this was my only other option, didnt have the funds for a 980 otherwise i would have got 1 of them

just strange i can run firestrike with no issues at all.

thought it was a CPU bottle next first off but cant see it being that as firestrike runs without any issues but as o formatted i only have minecraft and csgo installed lol
