hey, looking for people to play with on this, im sem at the min but due to rank up i belive as getting gn1-3 in every game. just looking for regulars around my rank. steam is savagepoop
 
Folks I want to get back into CS but I'm a bit overwhelmed from the last time I played it (source) with a these new features and weapons which now can be bought for real money??
Any guide online to bring me up to speed? Would appreciate it.

What you can buy online is skins only buddy.

The core mechanics of the game are still very much CS.
 
how long does it take to rank up? ive now won 8/10 games with 7 of them being in a row and im still sem! usually top or second on the team with several mvps and positive kdr getting annoying now
 
I'm still awful at this game but really like it. Was Master Guardian Elite then had a break for a couple of weeks, logged back in and was back to Master Guardian 1 :(
 
Im MG2 at the moment so thats ideal for a game, add me. (I set my forum homepage to the google rank DOC btw) Everyone had derank bias at the moment, your actual elo score hasnt changed apparently. My guess is they made the top rank much smaller, not sure

There is no pay to play once you own the game. A year back, maps were paid for but now even new ones are free to all. Its just glitter on your gun basically, no effects and Ive never noticed any gameplay change from better camouflage

Should be faster then that. Theres no offical answers to rank questions exactly but afaik the very first games with a new account allow you to switch ranks fast.

The quickest ranks to change (smallest in skill breadth) would center around average which Valve just said is Nova 4. So you are 5 ranks off that, I guess possibly its harder to do though surely it must be easier then an eagle changing rank.

I believe this is no longer possible, but quite funny :p

After my rant the other day I went back to deathmatch, played with my mouse settings and found a happy place. Dunno what changed but I felt like I was back to my previous level and was getting lots of shots on target.

Just jumped in an MM game solo and matched with two people openly trying to derank. Sigh. Why? Just why? I very nearly just quit, not worth sticking around for tbh. Cant kick them. Anyway ended up taking my frustration out on one of them and got a 30 min ban haha. Dunno why a GNM would want to derank but never mind.

But I'm chill. Bad timing. Gonna have a resurgence I hope when I'm allowed back on haha.
 
I take it all back, second game, two kids trying to derank telling other team where we were one guy got kicked so was 2 vs the other team. Sigh.

Now deranked from MG1 to GN3. I'm done. Games a shambles.
 
Had various games today, and ended up with multiple games where they was killing each other at round ends on defuse etc?

I asked why and they responded we have to.

Is there some odd bug or something in the game to why they are doing this? Or are they just trolling hard and i got unlucky with having 2 games in a row where they did this.
 
Is it just me that thinks CS has gone to crap lately? EVERY game im playing currently is with non-English speakers, people who buy every round and no communication what so ever.

I was LE, havn't played on my main for a while and STILL havn't won a game for around 4 or 5 matches. It is just the same every time. Seems like everyone just rushes every round, no gameplay just wanting to frag.

also seems like I can't get a kill at all, getting 97 for 6 or 99 in 3 etc etc even though im dinking headshots on the first fire

*edit* ooou, that is strange, I was just posting for a whinge more than anything, but I thought I would read back to when I last read this thread and noticed a lot of other people with similar issues, game seems to have just gone into a run and gun type thing now :(

This. Made a stupid decision to play a competitive with randoms last night. All 10 year old kids with the gaming sense of a gold fish. Will stick to premade games
 
just tried another one, ok, I know it is early, but still, 2 Russians, a Swedish guy that didn't speak and then a Polish guy who could speak English, but carried on speaking polish so no one could understand and me. I top fragged again, still lost 16 - 6. I have officially given up with the game as in trying to get better at it. selling all my skins etc, screw it.

I can't even tell what has changed but i have lost 7 games in a row and none of them have been good matches. I STILL havnt got a rank back lol. I will be in the silvers now I imagine.

Just got 70 quid from selling my skins at a cut rate jus tot get the cash out of the game, not bad!
