CS:GO Discussion

Holy smokes, dmg to silver :D That did happen to someone else and he is MG2 now, I dont think it'll be too much just a grind basically as you got to plow through a load of random games.

Your mate is still DMG then ? I have nova4 and Im sure theres others that will add you, basically you are a valve made smurf now

I read that they have duplicated hundreds of dragonlores via the new Valve security thingy allowing some loophole, just something alarming I read I thought I'd mention. If it continues it'll probably affect the whole skin economy
Gonna sell my cobble pronax drop I think, theres always a chance of a better design appearing anyhow

Also want to say thanks, stole that website from one of your previous clips.. makes life much easier than youtube etc.

I was either dmg or the one below haha yeah my mate has got himself back up there now he only dropped a couple of ranks, it's annoying because I'm going to have to grind some games out to rank back up but I'm not garaunteed to win :(

In the game that I had last night I was getting grief off my own team yet I was top of the scoreboard by a mile I was just laughed it off though the only other English guy on my team said thanks for carrying us at the end I was like :D

Stopped for over a month (well, I lost my rank) due to Uni exams. Had been playing less than 4 hours weekly for the 2 months prior to that. Was Supreme before all this happened, now I got my rank back and I'm DMG.

Played a game with LEMs and LEs and I got the top score. So I'm sure I'll go back up soon.

First time i've quit in a mm game. Solo'd and got stuck with a team of 4 idiots vs a team with two matching accounts so i'm assuming someone was using the one guys smurf and a low hour guy. They'd stack the right site each time so I gave up as it seemed fruitless to stick with it.

A mischievous gamer got over 3,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players VAC banned by releasing a series of fake multihacks. Reddit user AndroidL posted his antics to the Global Offensive subreddit, revealing that his fake hacks garnered over 5,500 downloads, with more than 3,000 offending users subjected to Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) bans.

“Over the course of two weeks I’ve released three different fake “multihacks”,” AndroidL wrote. “Essentially they edit your view angles to those that should be impossible to get and constantly gives infinite ammo/health. The hacks also do a few other things that ensure a VAC ban would be received.”

“The first two releases had a “timer” in them which meant the features that instantly VAC banned them would only be activated after a certain time (e.g. 10 PM on the day after the release)… the final hack (with over 3.5k downloads) just instantly VAC bans them as soon as they open the hack and join a game.”

“In total, my fake hacks received 26,000+ views and 5,500+ downloads!” he boasted.

Anyone got any clue why Teamspeak 3 makes my game jitter every 3 seconds? It's like it skips a few frames and I can see my screen jump, Does it constantly when Teamspeak is open.

i5 2500k overclocked to 4.6ghz + GTX 780 Definitely not my PC.

Hmm, he has good intentions i guess. i wonder what kind of stance valve would take on this? They would be in a tough situation to approve of the behaviour as well, they are hacks! but as he is releasing these to purposely ban hackers.. unofficially they probably will say good job, but officially drop kick him :D

I reckon the bans will still stand. They downloaded something with the intention of cheating. The program sparked the VAC ban, I'm sure there's some agreement in place between users and valve that you won't use third party programs, such as these which would promt valve to issue a vac.

Could they tell the difference between real cheats and these 'cheats'

Oh no i mean the relation between valve and the person who made these. The people who downloaded those should stay permanently banned as they believed they downloaded VAC proof hacks.

I was just curious what valve would think of the guy who made them, as its kind of doing valve a favour by allowing there VAC system ban people straight off the bat :D

Not sure bit technically they haven't cheated, so do those who have been banned have a good case to appeal such bans?

Could this potentially bring legal cases to Valve?

It's nice that this maverick has prevented so many from cheating and got them VACed but I think some issues may arise out of this for valve. Unless their terms of service regarding third party programs is robust enough to handle such a situation.

In terms of the relationship, maybe it will be a case of this guy had good intentions. It would all depend on what issues could / may arise.
